I'm trying to get a good shot of it. My phone can't adjust to that kind of lighting & trying to hold a flashlight isn't working either. Doesn't want to focus. I'll keep trying
The pull is much lighter. Almost to the point of being too light but the engagement zone for the clutch is longer & I think that's why. With a new cable & the extended push lever I still felt releasing the clutch was never perfectly smooth.
Just put the longer push lever on. Like Scott said, it's not a massive difference in longer engagement zone & less effort but it is there. Kind of on the fence on whether to do the hydro clutch master. I still think those 90 degree bends will always be an issue. Riding the bike the first...
Well it didn't feel like much difference with the new cable but the first ride tells a different story. Much better, smoother release...but I still plan to do the hydraulic unit.
Yeah, I've read about that but was hoping it was the cable that was the main issue. When my son first got the bike I took the lever at the handlebar off & cleaned up/greased the pivot. Bloody thing was nearly siezed up. It helped quite a bit. I don't have a problem with the short engagement...
Was really hoping a new clutch cable would improve things a bit. I even lubed it to be 150% sure there would be absolutely no unnecessary resistance. I barely feel any difference in lever pull & I'm not sure that isn't wishful thinking. I'll be picking up a Magura hydraulic in the next few...
I've got a used one...think I know which side is the dirty side but I need to be sure. You're supposed to spray the cleaner on the dirty side & rinse, spraying from the clean side to force any debris out & oiling the dirty side.
