My master needs a rebuild and the brake lever that came with the bike is a knockoff and doesn't fit well. The FZ6 master seems to be the new non-radial Yamaha standard and I've got my old FZ6 brake lever so I figured I'd save some money and work...
Just checking if anyone has a stock master cylinder laying around after an upgrade or something. I think the master is bad on my FZ1 and I liked the FZ6 master setup better. Thanks
When I get home next weekend, I'll check - I'm pretty sure I have my stockers from when I switched to FZ1 bars. If so, they're yours for the cost of shipping.
I eventually got it on last night - just focused on keeping it parallel to the head while having the sprocket side a little further back than the other and it slips in. Noticed afterwards I'm missing one of the valve cover bolt washer/o-ring things and after looking all over I'm worried that it...
My last bike was shim over bucket - the shims were much easier to work with due to the size (I was so paranoid that I'd drop and lose one of the little fz6 shims) but they required way more frequent checks. Looking forward to not doing this again for another 26k miles that's for sure.

I had the powerbronze one - paint quality on mine wasn't good and it scratched paint at all 4 tab points. They aren't visible but it's still indicative of a badly designed product, much like their belly pan from what I've read.
To each their own but you can get an Axio tailbag that looks good...
