    Is it me, the seat or the bike?

    I agree with gnyce - if you experiment with a range of adjustments with risers and bar angle it can have real benefits - and keep riding fun. After several knee surgeries and some back issues I got serious about my core strengthening. This has made dramatic improvements to my riding comfort...

    2007 Stolen, Electrical Problems

    That really sucks. I'd be fired up to track that fool down. My 07 FZ6 was stolen TWICE before I got it - so far no more takers. You look at the bike and you can see the attraction. Hope you get good advice on the relay damage etc. I use a heavy chain and armored padlock, and try to park next...

    FZ6 S2 (2008) engine vibration

    my two cents - What happens when you rev to 4500 in neutral, same vibe? This would at least help eliminate other sources in the drive train, wheels, etc. Maybe also have a friend grab and feel different locations on the bike as you rev up and down to find where this is happening if not on the...

    ~~~ What did you do to your Bike Today Thread??? ~~~
    I got to work and went in and grabbed a wrench and tightened my wobbly right mirror. Exciting but true.
    Rear rotor rubbing on calliper bracket
    ditto. The caliper itself and or the pins may have been bent in the same incident. You should get this fixed. After your front brakes - rear brakes are the most important thing you want 100% reliable. good luck!
    conversion pics
    I got the kit from Vishnu at 423-383-4914. It is "VS01 flat black". I have since replaced the bug screen with the speedo back cover, switched out the mirrors to better quality ones that more closely match the FZ1, and installed 1" bar risers. Glad to be rid of all that plastic rattling around...
    Mounting mirrors on clutch/brake lever brackets on converted bike
    FWIW, after buying some narrow mirror mounts, I did some additional minor grinding on them when I converted to naked. This let me neatly butt up everything and keep both mirrors in the same location on either side. I also loosened up everything (including the master cylinder) and scootched...
    07 FZ6 bar risers question
    Twobob1 - I just installed these and they are perfect. Was able to re-use the Yamaha top clamp and no issues with cables - but you should loosen both the brake and clutch handle clamps when installing so things stay a little loose until you set everything back to your preferences. Doublecheck...
    07 FZ6 bar risers question
    Ohendo - ebay risers follow-up - I just got these same risers you suggested and they are perfect. I have no problems with cables and was able to use the stock Yamaha top clamp. Quality seems good. What a difference an inch makes! I think I finally have this bike just how I want it. Thanks.
    07 FZ6 bar risers question
    I need a riser with bolt holes 33mm apart in order to re-use the FZ6 top clamp. What is the distance on these? One set of risers I ordered were 40mm and the holes would not line up. Thanks
    07 FZ6 bar risers question
    I need about 1" up and back on my bars for better comfort. What riser set will work with the FZ6 top clamp, and has anyone had any problems with not having enough cable slack? Thanks
