In search of 2004 FZ-06 headlight covers or whole assembly. I was removing mine to do some modifications and they melted... I don’t want to spend the money for a whole new housing since I only need the covers but if that all I can get I’ll take it.
Let me know what you have!

Are you talking about the Lens cover on a dual headlight assembly?

Yes. Here’s the assembly I have. I just need the lens covers (indicates by the arrows)

youre probably going to only find the whole thing for sale used. dealership will sell just the cover but that'll be more expensive

The dealership / Yamaha doesn't sell "just the cover", it sells the entire assembly.

.
Correct. I talked to a dealership yesterday about it and they only sell the whole assembly. I wouldn’t mind buying the whole thing. I just thought it might be cheaper only getting the covers. I’ll edit my original post to either.

This might be an assumption..... You might want to use a pyrometer to measure oven temp. You can find cheaper ones that work well. Maybe preheat the oven to make sure it is stable. Some oven controllers are terrible. If you were dealing with an assembly that someone used silicone sealer (non factory seal) to seal the seam, the oven will not work. I'm sure a few have done this mod here to install HID's with projector lens and angel eyes.

Either way, Happy Modding!

Hey thanks! I baked it once before to pull it apart and was successful. I actually did the HID/halo mod. I just went to pull it apart again to clean the insides but made a dumb mistake. I didn’t lower the rack so the lens was right near the heat source. ‍
