Dominator exhaust for 2005 Fz6 fazer

Not that I noticed. I don't think back pressure is even something you want on a 4 stroke. The more exhaust gas you can flow out the better, more efficient burn

Dominator exhaust for 2005 Fz6 fazer

Did not remap. Full system I would for sure, but since its just a slip on and I'm sure affects the fuelling a bit, the midpipe cat is still stock as well so its not a huge change.

Dominator exhaust for 2005 Fz6 fazer

Yes, they do quite a bit. Very crackly and pops for a second when letting off especially at high rpm. Pretty addicting but a cop magnet. No regrets for the price. They scream.

Naked converted FZ6, how could I go about getting low and high beam functionality?

Older post but I tried to do this for a temp fix and unfortunately since that low beam bulb connector is not as far down the harness as the high beam one, the wires are way too short to reach the naked conversion bulb location. That's too bad. I had one other question, so do you know the trick...

Naked converted FZ6, how could I go about getting low and high beam functionality?

Burnt out another bulb today because of my full time high beam setup. It was a dual bulb LED so I didn't think it really made much heat but who knows.... pretty weird. Going to be switching over to a full time low beam setup instead and hopefully it lasts more than a week! Weather has been too...

Some advice on changing cam chain tensioner

Hahahaha... for cooling these jeans are the worst, it just opens by its self every 5 mins. Thanks, I don't know, it seems excessive but maybe I'm just worrying too much.

Some advice on changing cam chain tensioner

No sir that is actually the Dominator exhaust (slip on, not full)! It's a little on the loud side in person, need to get the baffles for it. I actually agree when I really get close and start listening to it. It does sound like its coming from the top end. What I have learned over the years is...

Some advice on changing cam chain tensioner

Okay went to a empty area so I could really rev it up and get a better video. You can hear a lot more in this one. (ignore the crotch filming I was focusing on looking at the bike LOL) https://streamable.com/on9vef

Some advice on changing cam chain tensioner

https://streamable.com/hgamh2 Well heres a vid. Sounds like a bucket of bolts to me. It doesn't sound ideal when really getting high in the revs either, or if you down shift you can really hear it then too. Sounds sketchy to me. If you focus on the different sounds with headphones you can hear...

Naked converted FZ6, how could I go about getting low and high beam functionality?

Thanks everyone for the quick replies and help I really appreciate it, I've started taking stuff off. I found looking back at bd's old posts about the mod insanely helpful, for this and just to better understand the wiring situation upfront in general . The dual to single headlight wiring made...

Naked converted FZ6, how could I go about getting low and high beam functionality?

So essentially all I'm doing here is continuing the green wire on the harness connector to the unused pin on the headlight connector, The bd mod looks great for a clean oem style install but since that was over a decade ago and not available, I'm going to do it the hack quick and dirty way and...

Some advice on changing cam chain tensioner

Thanks for the reply. You're right, I just meant if I'm removing all the stuff to check the valves it will be a good time to easily do the plugs. I'm unsure if they're original. There's a good chance they are unless the PO was really on top of maintenance. Any other ideas about this? I saw some...

Some advice on changing cam chain tensioner

Well the job is done, I have large hands and it was surprisingly very annoying trying to get the back bolt in while keeping the gasket lined up. I'm not even sure it is but it doesn't seem to be leaking, yet. Overall I probably wasted my time, my old tensioner released fine, the bike is a...

Q3+ is my favorite tire right now. They last very decent considering the grip they have.

Some advice on changing cam chain tensioner

Wait, pull what plugs out? To be clear I was never intending on taking the valve cover off, that was just brought up so I wasn't ever planning on that. :) I guess its the ultimate safest method to actually look at your timing, but its overkill. Maybe if this was a 1/1 1965 Formula 1 V12 motor...

Some advice on changing cam chain tensioner

Thanks, you guys are legends. I'm not worried about the job its self, just wanted some specialized advice for this bike and knew I would learn some specific tips by asking the vets. I have been building dirtbike engines for a number of years, this was my first timing owning a 4 cylinder bike...

Some advice on changing cam chain tensioner

Just found this post, I've been reading all the general search results from cam chain tesnioners. Seem my concern is addressed in this, and that a new cct comes with a plastic tab holding the tensioner fully retracted until its bolted on. Makes a lot of sense because otherwise it would be quite...
