    swingarm pivot bolt service

Hey guys I'm planning to do this to my bike and was wondering whether I would be able to support the bike with the center stand alone. Obviously cuz the swingarm is coming off I can't use a rear stand but will the center stand keep my bike upright (since its mounted to the frame)? thanks in...

Help with brake line routing setup

Yeah I get what you mean. The master cylinder works great its just that the banjo bolt from the master cylinder his that adjuster for the accelerator cable. My first thought was to get one of those motion pro accelerator cable housings that go over the top of the handlebar (as opposed to the...

Help with R6 rear shock and forks that were installed on my FZ6 before I bought it

My fault. The adjuster which doesn't click is the rebound adjuster on the bottom of the fork. The preload and compression on the fork cap click away just fine.

Help with brake line routing setup

Hello everyone, I recently bought a 2007 FZ6 (the one with the 2 4-piston non-floating calipers) and the previous owner had installed a Brembo Master cylinder 16 mm (but its not one of the aftermarket ones, I think it came stock on some other Yamaha- maybe an old r6 or something). Each brake...

Help with R6 rear shock and forks that were installed on my FZ6 before I bought it

Hey guys, I ordered my springs and the new oil and was wondering what you all thought about ordering something like this. They are new compression and rebound adjusters for the forks. I figure since some of them aren't clicking and I'm already going to have them apart maybe I should add these...

Help with Changing the Ignition Cylinder/Switch

Hello everyone, I recently bought a 2007 FZ6 and I purchased a seat lock kit because my seat lock was missing. This kit came with the seat lock, gas cap with new lock, and ignition cylinder (the whole unit) plus new keys. I installed the seat lock and gas cap no problem but I needed help on...

Help with R6 rear shock and forks that were installed on my FZ6 before I bought it

I'm definitely going to get to the fork oil and seals within the next week. If I shake the forks back and forth and they move then we are talking about bushings where the fork mounts to the wheel? The forks don't visibly appear to be leaking but we came to that conclusion previously because of...

Help with R6 rear shock and forks that were installed on my FZ6 before I bought it

Hey guys. I have been unable to get to the suspension because I ended up having to replace the ignition cylinder, gas cap and seat lock. But after going for a ride yesterday I noticed something new and wanted to see if its related to my suspension. Under hard acceleration in a straight line, I...

Help with R6 rear shock and forks that were installed on my FZ6 before I bought it

So in fact the shock is really made for the R6? We were trying to figure this out above. I was told it was a Penske shock for an r6. My problem with the front is that the adjusters don't seem to do much. The preload adjuster is on max setting and the rebound and compression are 1 below max and...

Help with R6 rear shock and forks that were installed on my FZ6 before I bought it

Well. After so long I have finally gotten it working!!!! I went in and measured the disks and they were more or less the same as the old ones. The friction plates were 2.9mm and the old metal disks were 1.8-1.9mm. New metal disks were 1.9mm and I'm chalking that up that difference to the fact...
