Question Error code 53 - immobilizer - SOLVED - Important for anyone!

It looks like the outer harness sheath was damaged. Is it possible that wiring/sheath is getting pinched in a steering stop?

Question Error code 53 - immobilizer - SOLVED - Important for anyone!

Great find! I bet you could make a permanent fix for that and secure it so that it doesn't bend so much in that area. Wonder if the other wires are also weakened in that same bend.

Question Error code 53 - immobilizer - SOLVED - Important for anyone!

Good to see you! If you live where roads get salted in the winter and a connector gets dirt and then gets wet, the salt helps give a better electrical path between pins in the connector. The immobilizer may think there is a wiring problem and react with a logical solution. Pull the connectors...

If the fuel pump works and the starter spins the motor, but your have 0.0 vdc at the coils, you have an open circuit between the kill switch and the coils.

Your coil primary voltage should show 12 volt positive polarity. Make sure your multimeter is set to read direct current and in the proper range to read 12 volts. One lead of your multimeter goes to the primary coil wire which is red with a black tracer marking and the other wire to any negative...

    H7 Bulb too small?

If the OEM headlamp assembly has not been modified, it should work with the adapter and the smaller H7 base that Yamaha used. :)

    H7 Bulb too small?

There's an adapter assembly. See item 3 and 5 here : https://www.ronayers.com/oemparts/a/yam/50045b9af8700209bc79416d/headlight. Did you remove the original H7 and how does it's size match up?

Both coils are supplied positive 12 vdc by a red with black tracer wire on the primary input of the coil. You can unplug the ECU turn the key to on and you should see the primary volt present on the black with red tracer wires that feed the coils. One coil has an orange with black tracer you...

Yes, the ECM and ECU are the same. Does the bike start and run on all 4 cylinders and then shut down?

If the coils are good the problem is likely at the ECM or at the pins on the ECM plug. You may need to replace the ECM if the the switching transistors for the coils have failed. Have you confirmed there is power to both coils when the key is turned on? From Google translate: אם הסלילים טובים...

Welcome to this great forum! That bike looks really great! I would start with the basics like a compression test and then valve lash check. From there go to the carbs and give them a good cleaning. If they've been rejetted and set up with that exhaust they might be fine but I would give that...

2009 fz6r no current from start button ????

If you rewired the switch with the battery still connected there is a chance you may have introduced the wrong voltage path to the starter interrupt-cut off relay assembly. It has logic diodes that do not survive the slightest mishap. Here's a part number 5VK-81950-31-00 part #24. In the parts...

    2006 FZ6, error 46

If you measure your battery voltage at the regulator plug and it is present, your plug does not have bad pins, and the stator is good there's a high probability your regulator is bad. There are 5 pins at the Regulator/Rectifier plug 3 for the stator, one positive (red) and one negative (black)...
