Question Error code 53 - immobilizer - SOLVED - Important for anyone!

it is possible that was the main issue. Or a cable tie that was digging into the outer harness…

Question Error code 53 - immobilizer - SOLVED - Important for anyone!

The other wires felt a bit more flexible than the yellow? Maybe the yellow wire, of some reason, reacts worse than the others to water? Got some time off work the next week so will, like you mentioned, make a more permament fix :) Might open up the rest of the flex rubber and secure it much...

Question Error code 53 - immobilizer - SOLVED - Important for anyone!

Was at work when I started the thread. And whatayaknow... Wouldn't start when I wanted to ride home - same error and constant now. Luckily for me I even parked the bike at the back of the Factory workshop. In the morning I thought about looking at it if I had time during my 12 hour saturday...

Question Error code 53 - immobilizer - SOLVED - Important for anyone!

So the wires are mounted via removable connectors to the immobilizer/key bulk? I will give it a go... :)

Question Error code 53 - immobilizer - SOLVED - Important for anyone!

Been a long time since I looked and posted here - sorry about that :) 2 days ago when I started the bike to go to work the following occurred: Turned the key and immediately dash showed that temperature was maximum and it said "53" where the mileage is usually shown. The red light immobilizer...

The bearing behind the front sprocket might be busted?

But at least glad they were all so close - should mean the engine was/is healthy :) If one clearance was far out that would have been a worry!

The bearing behind the front sprocket might be busted?

I ran through my older pictures because I knew I made a decent setup to help myself out. This is from 2016 on the 2nd valve clearance check. When I look at my scribble I actually think i might have changed much more than half (maybe all) valve pads. EDIT: The INTAKE/EXHAUST valve clearance...

The bearing behind the front sprocket might be busted?

Yes 1st valve check was still within spec. 2nd one (4years later) I changed/adjusted a little more than half of them and could really feel a difference - felt like a better engine more rev-happy engine. So maybe still within spec? On upcoming pre-seasons check, while I am in there, I will make...

The bearing behind the front sprocket might be busted?

You must have been right both of you... Slackened the chain so I could squeeze it off the sprockets and all seemed fine. Chain back on and tightened it as close to spec as I could. Only regular chain-chatter now when manually spinning the rear wheel - no clickclickydyclick! Must have never...

The bearing behind the front sprocket might be busted?

Chain and sprockets should be quite alright. Been using Scottoiler the last 1 1/2 year after I installed a fresh chainkit. Will report back tomorrow - thanks!

The bearing behind the front sprocket might be busted?

Ah yes good idea. That would defiantly settle if it's behind the sprocket or not... hoping you are right! I am pretty sure it's not just chain-chattering (or as you better explain it with rollers compressing and so on), Will do it tomorrow evening - I packed away the tools outside before...

The bearing behind the front sprocket might be busted?

Wanted to adjust the chain a tiny bit and I noticed something terrible. When in NEUTRAL (engine off) and just turning the rearwheel by hand there is a significant click click click sound. At first I thought it was the read wheel bearings but the click's seems to originate from the front...

Naked converted FZ6, how could I go about getting low and high beam functionality?

This unit you found on eBay... Does it work without a ballast? Maybe that is just a thing of the past... I bet if you drilled a little hole in your headlamp then that 10.000rpm fan in that DZG LED would increase your topspeed by 0,5 km/h :rolleyes: Like Motogiro I also ran with an LED...

    Windscreen... any fresh 2020 tips?

You being slightly taller I reckon that I, with the Puig Racing (Double Bubble), would get most of the wind near the neck area (close to the bottom of the helmet). That’s about where it ends up with the standard screen... On 2nd thought I don’t think I would mind moving the problem upwards...

    Cameleon PLUS Chain Oiler Review

After I installed my Scottoiler (non-electric) 2 years ago I have not had to tighten the chain. I only clean the chain 3-4 times a year (after wash). There is never any buildup of dirt of any kind. It all gets flinged away (with a bit of oil). The only place I sometimes need to wipe for excess...

    Windscreen... any fresh 2020 tips?

I know I am not the only one who suffers a bit with the windscreen being just about too high or too low. There are lots of older threads but maybe there is some spanking fresh news regarding this subject? I am 183cm (or about 6ft) and at highway speed the windpressure (from over the windscreen)...

    Putting money into an FZ6

In regards to altering the sound I can recommend a K&N airfilter. I didn’t buy it for extra power or mileage. Whatever difference it makes is most likely not even measurable. I bought it to re-use it every year (also have one in my car so) and I read somewhere it might alter the intake sound a...
