    suspension improvement and adjustment

Well I hope it doesn't come to that. It was easier when he still lived with us. I could do things to his bike without even asking.

    suspension improvement and adjustment

Yeah, I'd do the same thing but I'm still trying to convince my son to do the springs/emulators. He hasn't even put 50 miles on the bike. Told me he just wants to ride it for a while. He'll come around....;)

This is the image I was using to come up with what I posted...I always like to get feedback though.

    Throttle body sync lines

I've got this part figured out...it's the hoses I need help with. Appreciate the info though.

    suspension improvement and adjustment

Gary, do you remember which brand of fork oil you used & what length you ended up with on the spacers? I've got a couple of pieces of pvc that I think might work. If the stock preload is the same as what RT recommends (10mm), it should...but I have no idea what stock preload setting is.

    Throttle body sync lines

Can someone confirm I've got the order correct for the sync hoses? With the tank lifted I see 4 lines, 2 lines pointing back just below & on each side of the airbox. One line is noticeably shorter for each pair. Is the left pair short hose #1, long hose #2 & the right pair short hose #3, long...

    Power Commander III Installation

My son might have access to a dyno but even if he does, the bike runs so well right now I just don't see the point to doing anything with it. The Delkovics are loud without being obnoxious so a decat pipe won't appeal to him. Four or five hp isn't worth the effort. Thanks for the reply, guys.

Gary, are these fuel trim tools automatic or does it require something to be done by the owner?

At what point is a fuel controller required?

Exactly. I noticed the heavy clutch pull when I picked up my sons bike...first thing I did was remove the lever & lubed the cable but it was the pivot bushing that was nearly frozen that I believe was the issue. It never ceases to amaze me what the smallest amount of routine maintenance will...

At what point is a fuel controller required?

Kind of off topic but I've been noticing posts about remedies to 'throttle snatch'...I never experienced this when I rode my sons bike. Guess there are different levels of throttle issues from bike to bike. My vmax had a much more interesting throttle issue that just about put me on my ass...

At what point is a fuel controller required?

:D gotcha...appreciate the reply. I'll leave that up to my son to decide. Probably won't mention it to him though. When he wants something done to the bike it means I'm the one doing it.

At what point is a fuel controller required?

I don't want to hear about all the benefits of a fuel controller...I know they can be tuned even for bone stock to give a better ride but I want to know when certain changes will fuel manipulation mandatory. My son has an 06 with the only mod being Delkevic slipons. He's planning to replace...

    Post your FZ6N Pics!

Orange??? Well I'm colorblind & my phone doesn't do color rendition very well, obviously :D It's red. No coating on the header...just several grades of sandpaper & mothers polish.

My son & the rare moments he smiles...we had just finished installing the new headlight & polishing the headers.

Naked converted FZ6, how could I go about getting low and high beam functionality?

I've got 3 spare male spades with 15" length of 18 guage wire if anybody needs one. Respond to the post in 'electrical' forum....

Mt-090 male spade for low beam headlight mod

I picked up a couple of these for my sons bike. I've got 3 spare if anybody wants one. They're crimped to about 15" of 18 guage wire.

    Replace your Radiator Fan Fuse!!!

So basically something like this...the cut out portion has a hole drilled through it & bent at a 90 degree angle to connect to. Easy enough.

    What type fuse?

I wonder why they didn't use the same size? The smaller fuse comes in 30a. Anyway, I'm replacing the 20a fuse for the radiator fan with a 10a after reading up on the issue with rocks catching in the fan. Hey, aren't you the guy that came up with a fan guard to help with that? I found the...

Any chance you still have the pics of the radiator guard?

    What type fuse?

Ok, I know we don't use the far right but which one does our bike use?
