Nice video. I have at least seven cross country trips under my riding belt with the most recent one was last fall to the National Air Force museum in Ohio where I met up with a FJR buddy and rode down to Alabama for a moto gathering.
Yes it can be done on a naked bike but I prefer to do it on...
Dang it, I was looking forward to seeing your smokey burnouts at Bike Week in Daytona. I had a 08 Wing same color as yours only the car tire made it faster.
I rode a friends new Hypermotard 950 for 125 twisty miles in the Black Hills of South Dakota last month. That quick shifter and slipper clutch was the Bee Knees
I prefer slightly used but at the end of the day buy what you want and then ride the piss out of it.
With any luck you'll make it to be too old to ride anymore. DO IT!
A bunch of Shoei's (full face and flip up) plus a Schubreth.
Not to belittle your choice in an open face helmet as I used to wear one a long time ago until I met a guy missing half his jaw from a mc crash. As he explained......what's the first thing you will hit if you (heaven forbid)...
Only you can make that call. If it scares the **** out of you it's too windy.
My Goldwing is MUCH easier to ride in heavy wind than my supermoto or the KLR.
This is easy....Honda Goldwing. Valve adjust every 32k and with the opposed 6 motor the valves are easy to get too. The motor is so smooth many guys double the time between valve checks. Shaft drive and the bike will out last you (300k miles is common) The only pia is the air filter which can...
You will do it next time the traffic is backed up and going. I suspect unlike Ca drivers the cagers of Utah are going to need time to adjust to bikes coming through.
If you really want to have fun try lane filtering on a GoldWing Blah
20K ? I suppose it could be done if you ride like grandpa but where's the fun in that? ;) I was a huge fan of the Michelin Pilot road 2's for wear and stiction but they are discontinued and hard to find. My FJR buddies raved about the Dunlop Road Smart 3 so I bought a set for my Supermoto...
