    Custom saddle bag ammo boxes

I made some over a year ago out of pelican cases. Built a steel rack that bolts onto the bike and then bolted to pelican cases to them. Adventure bike guys come up to me all the time talking about how they love my cases.

    Has anyone run on PR5s

I'll be installing them in late September probably. I got some life left on the PR4s that I have on the bike, and have been thinking about doing an Iron Butt Challenge to send them off. Just really trying to gauge if the front tire has 1000 miles left in it.

    Has anyone run on PR5s

Yes Pilot Road 5s.... I loved my PR4s so I am hoping the PR5s would be even better.

    Has anyone run on PR5s

Its almost time for new tires. I got 10k miles on my set of PR4s but the front is showing its age. I have probably until the end of the riding season here which is october. I took a look and noone has PR4s in the FZ6 size. Has anyone run the PR5s yet and can tell me how they felt? I loved my PR4s.

Loading a bike into a tuck or trailer

I am thinking of building a little hill in my backyard, as that would work well to reduce the angle. Maybe once I get used to doing it a few times it will be as easy as the Seca. But I just dont want to fall again as that was not a cheap repair. :spank:

Loading a bike into a tuck or trailer

I am definitely getting that lever off an FZ07! I think just to have more clutch control will do me wonders. I have always liked the clutch on my Seca more than the FZ6. I do have another ramp that I walk up next to. Both ramps are 2X8s, just one of them having 2X4 bumpers attached on both...

Loading a bike into a tuck or trailer

So I need some advice... I have been loading my 82 seca in and out of my '16 F150 all the time by myself and had no issues. I actually built "bumper" ramps for it (like in bumper bowling) which means I dont have to watch the tires because there is no way it can fall off the ramp. 2 months ago...

Need some parts for an 08

After going through the bike taking almost everything off, inspecting the frame and taking some measurements I am happy to say its not as bad as I thought. Humpty Dumpty just needs a few parts to be back on the road. If I don't hear from anyone by the end of day I think I will just order this...

Need some parts for an 08

Hey everyone. I had a humpty dumpty moment with my bike today. Loading it into the truck bed, had a slip and toppled over to right side. It damaged a lot to the naked eye, and I am going to do a full tear down to see if there is any hidden damage. Its a 2008. So far I know I will need these...

    What's your OEM battery life?

The original battery is still in my 2008. It cranks like brand new, and up until this year I lived in upstate NY. Just kept it on a tender during the winter. Keep it till it dies, if it seems weak replace it.

    Riding with a Passenger

Ahh yea now that I re-read your post I see that part I was missing. I really didn't want to try 1-2 without the clutch. My passenger usually gives me a very light hug around the stomach.

    Riding with a Passenger

I clutchless shift, but have always been afraid 1st-2nd without the clutch. Maybe I'll have to practice it.

    significant mileage moment

Congrats, but if you're saying some will say its just broken in then I must be really new. I am just about to click 20K miles in the next month or so. I ride very often, but my commute to work is only a few miles so I don't rack those miles up very fast.

    Riding with a Passenger

I have about 1/8" of free play on it. And its never tight against the handle once the bike is warmed up so I know its not slipping on its own.

    Riding with a Passenger

I surely hope its not my clutch at the end of its life! Unless the previous owner murdered it (Which could be very true). I'll look into the lever, maybe will go for it once I am done dumping some money into my seca.

    Riding with a Passenger

I agree that communication with the passenger is super important. One of my low speed falls in life was actually with a passenger on the back. I have no idea if they moved or if I messed up, but we went from going straight to sitting on the ground. Frame sliders prevented any extensive damage...

    Riding with a Passenger

I could only imagine how hot it must be on that bike. Once I get off the highway and get stuck at my first of endless lights, I can tell that I am cooking from the legs up. Once the fan turns on its even worse!

    Riding with a Passenger

I guess its time for me to break out the service manual and look into the adjustment. For all I know it could be out of wack!. I have my idle set for 1200 RPM, I know it says in the book 1300 RPM but I live in a very hot South Carolina, so I try not to produce any more heat when stuck at a...

    Riding with a Passenger

Depends on who is on back, but normally with a passenger around 6-7K. By myself I actually shift at lower RPMS usually between 4-5K. Yes I know that is super low but I guess it just is because of my car driving instincts. :spank:
