    Family holiday to the states

    Weather in April here in southern Utah is spotty, so it may be on the colder side, may be up to 90s, just depends. I'd recommend checking the weather a couple days before your trip to see if you need to pack a little warmer clothes like pants, or raincoats if it may rain, to avoid buying...

    Family holiday to the states

    Awesome, looks like a fun trip! You'll pass about 3 minutes from my house on the way to Zion, haha! I live in Washington, Utah.

    Indicator switch disassembly?

    Doesn't take too much to cause a connection issue, mine did look a little bit dirtier, but it wasn't covered in gunk.

    Indicator switch disassembly?

    Nice write-up (and great pictures to aid)! This would've saved me a bit of time when I had to clean mine! I also cleaned my killswitch on the right side of the bars when I cleaned my turn switch. The killswitch cleaning process is very similar, with a few smaller parts, and more of a pain in...

    Indicator switch disassembly?

    I had to clean mine a month or two ago as well, right turn signal wouldn't work due to gunk in there. I wish I could remember what was holding it on, but I ran into the same issue as well, held me up for a bit trying to figure it out. I cant say for 100% certainty, but I think there was a screw...

    ~~~ What did you do to your Bike Today Thread??? ~~~
    New OEM chain and rear sprocket on today, put the vortex 17 tooth front sprocket on a week or so ago, was too anxious to wait to put it on, haha. I ride mostly highway at 80+ mph, and just the 17t sprocket makes a noticeable difference in a positive way. And wow, new chain feels like butter, old...
    ~~~ What did you do to your Bike Today Thread??? ~~~

    I put a PR4 on the back a couple weeks ago, I love it! Gonna run a front PR4 next time it needs changing.

    05 FZ6 running rough on low to moderate throttle

    Picked the bike up from the dealership after the recall work was completed for replacing the TPS, everything seems to be back to normal! When I rode over this morning to drop it off it was acting up the whole ride there, felt like the throttle bodies kept opening and closing as it was doing...

    Family holiday to the states

    Zion usually requires a small (per vehicle) entrance fee, depending on how early in the spring you visit. If its "in season" they have free shuttle buses running on a 15 minute or schedule up and down the park road to get you close to the hiking starting points (or a nice ride for the view. The...

    Family holiday to the states

    I live in Southern Utah, and I personally think Zion National Park is much cooler than Bryce Canyon, at least if you want to get out of your car and do some light hiking (or more if you're up to it).

    05 FZ6 running rough on low to moderate throttle

    When testing the charging system after replacing the stator (to ensure it was working) my multimeter was reading just above 14v off of the terminals when the bike was running. Before when the failed stator was on the bike it wouldn't even go above 12.8 when the battery was installed immediately...

    05 FZ6 running rough on low to moderate throttle

    I initially thought that was the problem i was having with my charging system before I replaced the stator, and load tested the battery which turned out normal. I'll look into the battery again if the TPS doesn't resolve the issue! Will do, earliest the dealer could get me in was next...

    05 FZ6 running rough on low to moderate throttle

    I saw that earlier and that's when I checked the ranges in the DIAG mode, thinking that may not be the issue since they came out within specs. I found the bulletin for the recall, and my frame wasn't stamped near the VIN for the recall, so I'm thinking it may not have been done, I'll contact my...

    05 FZ6 running rough on low to moderate throttle

    Got it, no idea if it was replaced, the previous owner was the 2nd owner, so they might not know either, I'll look into that and find that out, since if it was not replaced then that will be a free warranty replacement, and I can at least rule that out. No codes are coming up at all either.

    05 FZ6 running rough on low to moderate throttle

    Hey guys, having a minor issue with my S1 lately. Quick backstory/breakdown... Bought bike in June 2017 with just over 21,000 miles (22,300 on it now), ran through most maintenance i could think of (replace brake fluid, replaced coolant, checked oil, air filter, etc etc) A few weeks after...

    Major Update!!!!!

    Wow, looks great! I really like the highlight trim on the wheels, stands out very nicely. What windscreen do you have on there? I commute 45 minutes on an 80mph highway and I think I might benefit from a slightly taller than stock windscreen. Thanks, Derek

    Nice to see a cop sometimes

    My 45min commute out here in Utah is 80mph highway all the way and nearly everyday I see people pulled over for speeding, and I've seen a dozen or so cars blow by going 90-100 pulled over a while ahead when the pass where the highway patrol likes to hang out, so much for saving time by speeding...

    S1 Cat Delete / Center Stand

    Looking to see if anyone has a cat delete pipe (midpipe after header). I would like to keep my pipe intact for emissions purposes, so getting a separate pipe is ideal. Also looking for an OEM center stand, as a previous owner removed it.
