    Edmonton 2013 Motorcycle Show

Hey man thanks for the pics. Couldn't make it to the show here. That Fazer looks cool, and I loved the Classic Triumphs. Some pretty space-aged new rides.

What's your biker rage story? (mine from today)

I like this version of the old saying: "Live to Ride BUT Ride to Live" Don't get yourself into a situation that puts you at risk. There's a ton of stupid people out there behind the wheel, well prepared to do stupid things. Be smarter than them. Here's a little story for the MC rage...

    Finally decided on a GPS....

Good thread. I had a Garmin Nuvi 350 on mine for a couple years, now I have a 255w. I've ridden with both in downpours, freezing temps, over rough roads - no problem. I hardwired the charger and mounted on the left handlebar inside the signal switch (ball mount off eBay for $5). I don't...

    Handlebar opinion???

I bought some Highway Hawk drag bars which are almost stright. Guess what, I went back to the stock FZ6 bars. I cut about 1" off each end and angled them down as low as I could. Perfect for me.

    The police?

We were riding up Icefields Parkway toward Jasper, there was a section of highway market 60 kph. We thought we were passed it and sped up to 100. Police were out and pulled us over. Now I was in the lead, and haven't had a ticket in many years, probably not even in their computers. They let...

Too Big a Gap for a Top Saddlery Seat?

In all honesty mine's just fine front and back. That doesn't look too bad though, wouldn't worry about it if I were you. The comfort will make you forget about it. Maybe it will work in a bit after a while.

    Possibly the biggest FAIL ever!!!

This is an old topic and an old thread, but I just have to add - My FAVORITE Shervin quotes, quips, and comments! :BLAA: "for some religon/political reason the goverment of my country does not allow me to study in university" "he has never let engineering or logic get in the way of...

    Big D

Well just to be clear, I certainly don't see it as doom and gloom. Truely, my kids deserve a better home life and upbringing than what they've been seeing in the last couple years. My wife doesn't give them the attention they need, and is very grumpy with them. I'm the one they run to, the...

    Big D

After 16 years and 2 great kids, looks like my marriage is headed for a divorce. My wife has been seeing someone else and also confessed that she doesn't love me anymore. Not much else to say there... While this isn't exactly shocking to me, it's both very upsetting and kinda exciting at...

    Helmet cam up Pikes Peak.

Cool vid, thanks. I used to go up Pike's Peak as a kid to see my Aunt who had a cabin up there. Good memories.

Can anyone beat my 75k kms/46k miles?

Great thread! Mines a baby with only 28,000 km (short riding season up here), but I have every intention of seeing your 75k and raising a few  Caladin - love that pic, totally epic.

    Tank Bag Recommendations

My Manta hasn't caused any scratching on the tank. Stays put very well with the magnets too, even in high winds and all.

    Full Faced Helmet

Not sure what the point of a visor is if it's up all the time. I only open it at stops if it's hot outside. I have tinted for day and clear for night.

Fuel Grade (regular, mid-range or premium)

    Quote of the day.

Fuel Grade (regular, mid-range or premium)

Best thing about premium is the gas station never runs out. I always use regular, that's what the engine is engineered for. Runs creamy-dreamy. Once it gets old - like really old - higher octane might help it along in it's wheelchair, but seriously don't waste your money.

    Why does my engine die?

Hope it was broke in properly - see manual. Resetting the ECM isn't a bad idea. Have a peek at your air filter also. Can't combust without air. As for fuel, just stick to 87 octane. These engines are made to run on regular fuel. Mine has died a few times coming back to idle, I've noticied...
