04 fz6 - is oem speedo/tach unit needed for operation? Are there aftermarket fuel/temp gauges?

I have a full fairing 04 fz6 that I am looking into customizing into something more naked. I would like to eliminate the OEM speedo/tach/gauges unit to be replaced with gps speedo and standalone idiot lights and fuel/temp gauges. I have done research online but every custom/naked fz6 I find has an OEM gauge setup still attached.

I just wanted to make sure the electrical system/motor would be ok with the OEM speedo/tach/gauges unit removed.

I am also wondering if anyone else has done or seen a project like this and had recommendations on aftermarket fuel and temp gauges.

If anyone has info on what the electrical voltage/resistance ranges are for temp and fuel sensor/readouts let me know as well.

I was wondering the same, however, i rode about 100 miles the other day without a speedo, without issue. Take it for a rip. Let us know how project goes.

Not sure about the temp and fuel but speed and rpm are digital, I hooked up a microcontroller and read them.
