Someone who likes beer..Adirondack Jack

What do you do for a living?
I own a small construction company that builds custom homes in the Adirondack Mountains of NY.

How long have you owned your FZ6?
April 2009

What other modes of transport do you have?
'08 Silverado, '08 Vibe, '60 Willys (with a '65 Buick V-6 transplanted), Yamaha 450 Grizzly, road bike, roller blades, hockey skates, cc skis, alpine skis, snowshoes. Hey- I'm more mobile than I thought!

If you could have any bike what would it be?
I'd like to TRY an FZ1 but I love my FZ6.

What are your hobbies apart from the bike?
Tinkering with mechanical stuff, hunting, fishing, hiking, camping, beer.

What is the best place you have visited on your travels and why?
Edinburgh, Scotland. The city itself, the people, the scenery, the pubs.

How would you best describe yourself?
Not one to sit around in the recliner watching reality TV.

What pets have you got?
Great Dane/Lab mix. Black, Lab sized, huge head, drool. Great combo.

Which invention in history would you most like to have come up with?
The Roach Motel. I don't think that invention was beyond my capabilities and it makes me mad I didn't think of it!

If you ruled the world, what is the first thing you would outlaw?
Telemarketers.

If you were forced to entertain us all at the Forum Christmas party - what would your talent be?
I play guitar and can do hours of requests. Acoustic Beatles, Buffett, Eagles, etc. (No heavy metal or Queen type songs). All the while drinking beer. Plus the more you all drink the better I will sound!

Snow or beach?
I hate to say it....beach.

Windows or Mac?
Windows.

F1 or MotoGP?
MotoGP.

Which track or album rocks your boat?
Sultans of Swing. Love Dire Straits for the guitar work.

What is your favorite film?
Ooooh. Tough one. Apollo 11. No wait- Young Frankenstein. No wait- Field of Dreams. No- ah hell.

Meat or Veg?
Meat. Always.

What is your favorite beverage?
I'm going to keep drinking beer until I acquire a taste for the stuff. I'm persistent.

And finally, your number one rule in life?
"Don't sweat the petty stuff and don't pet the sweaty stuff."

Great interview. Cool that you construct houses in the Adirondacks. I really liked your answer to the snow/beach question - duh.

Post ride is always beer time, Eric! Thanks

How many miles are you from Shelburne, VT? I'm thinking of spending a few days out there late next spring and seeing the area on the bikes! :D It's been about 14 years since we've visited that area.

As the crow flies it's only like 35 miles. BUT...... since Lake Champlain divides NY and VT. I have to go south to the Crown Point bridge or take a ferry from Essex NY to Charlotte Vt. Even so it only takes about an hour to get to Shelburne. It's nice country to ride once you're off the A roads. The Shelburne Museum is also very nice if you're in to the early settling of NE. Burlington is growing year by year and so is the crime rate and traffic but once you're away from there, the B an B's and small motels are very nice. Let me know! I'd love to meet and ride.

great interview and I love those homes you build, very suitable for the area,
and looking at the pics I couldn't see one shred of drywall, two big thumbs up for that!
