Question Are Shad top case mounts compatible with Givi side case mounts ?

Hello,

as the the tittle of this thread say are Shad mounts compatible with Givi mounts. When i bought my Fazer 600 it came with a Shad SH50 top case already mounted on it. One of my friends was going to sell some GIVI side cases and gave them to me if i wanted them but i dont know if i buy GIVI side case mounts that they are compatible with my SHAD top case mount/plate, and if they fit or do the mounts overlap with their mounting locations. If a thread like this already exists i apologize for creating of a new thread.

There are 2 types of mounts with Givi- monokey and monolock, check google images for differences- they are not the same. Many other brands have compatibility with one of the Givi mounts.

With Shad I can't confirm, but I can say that they have at least 2 different plate sizes- I've found out about this some years ago after buying a Shad topcase that had a ridiculously small mounting plate, way to small to fit on a standard topcase rack (shop later claimed it was a "scooter style plate").

But you can buy the Givi plates separately and mount them over your rack, they're not that expensive so it should't be a deal breaker.
