Cam shim size

Hi everyone,

I need to by a cam shim set for my 2004 fz6 but I'm seeing differing cam sizes on different sites. From have I've been able to find, they should be 9.48mm, but I just want to check before buying them. Does anyone know for sure?

Yeah, that's one of the other sizes I've see.

I just measured a shim from my Hot Cams shim kit (for my 07) and it's 8MM in diameter...
The diameter is NOT mentioned on the kit, ???

(Which is a half MM difference so it's likely the 7.48MM)

For FZ6, as the others stated above, the 7.48 mm is the size you need. You can find 7.48mm shim kits on ebay and lots of other places.
The 9.48mm size is used in large displacement single cylinder bikes (ex. WR450) and large displacement four cylinders (ex. FJR1300).
