You might use carb cleaner. Acetone will clean varnish. Brake clean should also work.
Your FZ6 does not have carbs. It has throttle bodies with fuel injectors.

For a thorough carburetor cleaning process, follow these precise steps. Start by applying cleaner and using a brush on the assembled carb. Proceed to meticulously spray solvent into all the holes to effectively remove dirt and gunk. Take off the float by removing the hinge pin with caution. Address clogs in the main and pilot jet using solvent and compressed air. Finally, employ the toothbrush for a meticulous scrubbing of the carb's interior.

Be forewarned, carb cleaner is much harder on rubber seals than brake cleaner..

It works better but I only use it on metal parts..

I use a sonic cleaner first, then spray, then jet cleaning needles (cheap on E Bay)
