Hi there,

I recently bought an fz6s (already presented myself and the bike), and so far all i did was change the battery, fill the tank and rode with it once just because
.. and one thing standed out and that was it died on me while shifting twice. considering i haven't serviced it yet, i'm thinking air and fuel filters..but that's not my main problem for now/yet..

So today i decided i wanted to look at error codes a see if it had any, so with the key out and emergency switch set to cut i pressed both buttons put in the key and turned it to on position and released the buttons when 'diag' appeared. The i pressed both again until it showed d01 and browsed from there..
there were only 2 codes on there and they were old. Code 12 (crankshaft position sensor) and 30 (bike fell). Everything else was clean so i cleared the codes. But then for some reason (curiosity) i did the diag again but with the emergency switch set to on..and noticed that on some diag codes the fuel pump worked nonstop and that was all i did.

Few minutes later i was gonna start the bike and behold... it cranks but it wont start.. if I throtle it starts but it feels like its drowning and eventually dies.. did I broke something, coincidental fuel filter clog or did I flood the combustion chamber?
i need to take it to the shop for full check-up but if it doesnt start its gonna be difficult to achieve it.

Video of it starting before running diag (cant hear fuel pump working but i did the order wrong if you notice (kill switch should'v been before the key turn not after)) https://mega.nz/file/JBlF0IDB#90cHUMaJMRibCU3acdxuHL4xQwtYGzsNvmvxlWPwEuo

Video trying to start it https://mega.nz/file/cFNUXI7I#nTL6NlwMBGLx3pdwrthUetFhVuE0Dw5Esbk6Gy5RBWs

Thanks in advance for all inputs. Bike is a 05 FZ6s with 12k km.

It sounds like you are having a fuel pump issue. Clearing the error codes should not cause and issue. Sometimes the ECU can get hung up. Disconnect the negative battery lead for 30 minutes. Reconnect the battery and see if the problem resolves.

Sounds like a coincidence. What you have is a used bike with an unknown history of previous owners…and a lack of history with your own ownership. This bike could have had this problem when you bought it…or you may have gotten unlucky.

The issue can be run to ground by conducting diagnostics of spark, fuel, air and compression.

Mechanic scheduled. He'll be picking it up for full checkup.. will update here if he feels like telling me what was/is the issue.
