Ran over a screw. The hole looks to be very close to this deep tread. What do you guys think?

Put a mushroom plug from the inside and you should be fine, I have used them several times without incident.

I rode with the flat for too long. Is the tire okay to plug even after overheating?

That tire is toast. The edges would be “spooky” in a corner.
