I was riding about 15 mins after an oil change on my 09 fz6. was on my way for an hour and a half ride to a city for a big interview. i went to pull over to get ready for the interstate in a small parking lot, and suddenly the bike just turned off. i had my clock, so it was as if i turned the key, but it was on. i tried to hotwire it out of desperation, and got my dash to come on but no ignition. i jumped the started solenoid to see if the battery was dead, it turned over fine. both fuses looked new. im gonna go back in my car today to have a crack at fixing it, but wanted to see if anyone has some ideas first.

You may have a bad kill switch. When the bikes died was the engine running and if so was the headlamp lit?
