We were fortunate to have this beautifully restored B-17 named Sentimental Journey from the AZCAF pop in for a 4 day stop in our city recently. The two days that I stopped in to take pictures, when it was on the tarmac for people to take the tour and then on departure day, both crappy days with no blue skies making this photo op a mediocre event.

None the less her presence and through the view finder was more than anyone could ask for. Here are a couple of pics and for those interested in how she sounds, a video too.

Way cool! Some years back a B 24 was in Sacramento, we watched him buzz the airfield and did get to go through it when he landed. Listening to the guys who flew in it was as good as getting to see the old war bird.

That plane gets around! I see it here at the Miramar Air Show.
I think the photos actually turned out great because of the grey scales!

Tis a beuatiful aircraft :thumbup: grey skys in pic make no differnce as she stands out well :thumbup:
