Suggestions for Tech Spec tank pad reinstallation

Had to pull the Tech Specs off the tank because some dirt had gotten underneath and undermined the adhesion. So I peeled them off and used a head gun to soften and remove the remaining adhesive from the back of the pad. The tank is clean and ready for reinstallation.

So now I need to figure out what to use to adhere the pad to the tank. My buddy gave me a can of DAP Weldwood Contact Cement (https://www.dap.com/products-projec...dhesives/contact-cement/weldwood-contact-cem/) but I think that is overkill. I'd rather use a double-sided tape of some sorts.

Also, it would be ideal if I could get the replacement in an 8.5" x 11" sheet as that would let me to make the backing 1 piece. Not a deal breaker if I need to make it in 2 parts.....

Anyone out there ever reattach a tank pad?

If I were in your shoes, my instinct would be to contact Tech Spec and ask them for advice. Surely you won't be the first person who's inquired to them about this, right?

Have you tried 3m spray trim adhesive?
Ive used it on upholstery it seems to dry of like rubber, also it wont hurt the paint if thats one of your concern
