Yamaha is having a demo day this Friday and Saturday (10 am to 4 pm). I will probably be going on Saturday. Is anyone else interested in trying other yamaha models

They were just here in Idaho a couple of weeks ago. I demo the FJR1300, Vmax, Super Tenere, FJ-9, and the FZ-7. They only let you ride 2 each day but I managed 3 out of them. It's a group ride that last around 20 minutes. I'm guessing it will be a fun ride based on your location.

I'd want to ride the FJ09 if I went to one. That engine is supposed to be a beast, and Yamaha fixed some of the fueling problems from the FZ09 when they put it in the FJ. Other than that, I'd ride just about any bike they could put me on!

Same I want to check it out again... there's a demo at countryside in June that I'll probably go to.

Here's the FJ-09 that I rode, it had the panniers. I guess of all the bikes I had to pick to replace the Fizzer, this would be it. It had several modes and the instrument cluster included a fuel guage and had a gear indicator. Great ergos, but it was a bit tall for me. It would take a while for me to get use to the height, even though it was set at the lowest position.

The bike I disliked the most was by far the Vmax. Although I did not have the opportunity to see what she really had since I was only able to get up to around 70mph via slingshot, which is kind of frowned upon on these demo rides. But just like any other bike, if you ride it, you would get use to it.

I think when I do the demo this year I'm gonna have to try out the revised FZ09, but also the FZ07 and R3.

Honestly though, I'll probably end up with one of these for my next bike.

Yamaha just doesn't have the "soul" that I want in my next bike.
