fz6 2005 brake hoses

Hi all, Hope some one can advise me, hoping to change standard hoses for steel braided soon but looking over hoses seen little box on left fork where the 3 hoses join through it, what is this box and how do you attach steel braided hose to it as the connections are crimped ? many thanks in advance

I believe that junction goes away. The line from the master cylinder goes to the closest caliper and the 2nd banjo connector is attached together. The line then loops over to the other caliper.

I have Spiegler SS brake lines and can confirm, no junction/split - 2 fittings + banjo bolt as @Motogiro sez

I like Core Moto lines…you didn’t ask…but I thought I add that info.

Regarding running the lines, it doesn’t matter if you run the longer line in series or parallel. On my FZ6 I ran two lines from the master (parallel) just because I thought it might save a minute of labor.
