Question FZ6 FZ6R Water Pump compatibility

hi folks, do you know if newer 2009 FZ6R water pump can be installed on FZ6?
I see that impeller design has been improved and can't find the hole pump assembly anymore for FZ6.

I looked on Ron Ayers and there are matching numbers on the cover housing assembly but the mechanical seal and impeller use different part numbers

From what I gather, they can be interchanged. They can be bought on Ebay going from 50 to 100$, the parts can be ordered to rebuild yours for about $60 depending on if you seek OEM over generic and whether or not you need to replace your bearing. I'm opting to rebuild mine.
