How to clean matte colours/ graphic helmet?

Been years since I last owned a matte helmet and was planning to get one of the HJC matte graphic flip up helmets. I am unsure whether getting one in grey or white graphics. I have to admit it's harder to clean a matte helmet than gloss for the outer shell. Any cheap solutions other than the normal soap and water to retain it's pristine colour for years?

I use "Simple green" on most things, works great!

Don't know how it'd work on a matte color / helmet but don't know why it shouldn't..

I have a matte AGV Corsa R and when I went to the AGV importer to buy a tinted visor the salesman suggested some potion for cleaning the helmet, I didn't buy it but I just wipe mine regularly with a damp cloth.

I would think that anything that has oils or silicone would not be goon on the matte finish. I'll bet white vinegar would also work great.

Besides smelling like a salad, it "tastes good too"!!

When I want my helmet to smell really good I clean it with the Ranch dressing.

I prefer Blue cheese, but Ranch is good!
