So I havent been around much as of late

On top of life sucking, a lot, my beautiful FZ6 was taken away from me.

A rather old woman turned across traffic into me and I bounced off the side of her little suv at 50.
I felt it as soon as I tried to stand up.
A plate, a rod, and 6 screws later and I’m back on my FZ1. Still have a bit of a limp though lol8E15F29C-465C-4D82-BED2-837F38BB6FC4.jpg1BF32558-7608-47D6-BC41-B806B4278C40.jpg1374109B-41FE-4379-AAF2-68200223E866.jpg

Glad you're relatively okay! As long as you're still up and making trouble you'll be good to go. Sorry to hear about the FZ6 but good that you have an FZ1!

Yep second whatCliff says- glad you can get back on bike and live to tell tales, (tall and) true
Sad about the “6” , but it can be replaced

Plus 1 ^^^..

Your REAL lucky to still be breathing...

Did you "clear" (get ejected over) the SUV or a solid stop (your body into the car)?

The large bone pic, your arm or leg?

Thanks for sharing and glad that you are still with us. Best of luck with your rehab.

It was the leg, my arms were unscathed and I actually had zero road rash after I flew over the suv and landed. Thank goodness I had all my normal gear on and my Arai left me without even a headache. It definitely could have been worse. I really do miss my little blue 6

Thank goodness you are healed up and kudos to you for getting back on the saddle. T boning a SUV is not a considered a Hall of Shame, call it lucky and surviving. For the driver, hope the woman spends some time in the pit of misery. Dilly, Dilly. Please be careful out there, do not assume. Avoid those collision traps.

It's a good thing you went air born..

Yep, I jumped as soon as I knew there was no saving anything, I just didn’t quite jump soon enough and caught my right shin on the handle bar and it bent everything in half from there. I was quite irritated when I learned she only got a warning. -_-

I don't know what the law's are up there, but that's BS...Totaled bike AND INJURIES???

A definite ticket and mandatory "go to court" ticket and see a judge as far as I'm concerned..

Hope you talk to an attorney about your injuries.. You have a great lawsuit (which is why she has((hopefully) insurance..

Glad you are on thr mend and it wasn't worse. Unfortunate about the bike and her just getting a warning. Any chance you had time to observe other mistakes on her part?
Any chance it would have mattered if you were in a cage? I'm thinking in terms of competency here.

Good luck and I hope the painful part is behind you now.
