Gents,
Thought I'd update this for anyone who finds this thread in the future.
Went back to the FZ6 cams the other week, got sick of the hole in the midrange on the R6 cams, it made the bike useless on the road and I wasn't convinced it was running right in the upper rev band too. Also got...
Anyone got any aftermarket adjustable rearsets knocking about they don't want anymore, or are you selling your bike and want to go back to standard?
Let me know. Desperate for some.
Located UK but that doesn't have to be a problem.
Remove the blobs, you actually get quite a bit of additional ground clearance from doing so. Enough to get your knee down with a good body position but not enough for any semi fast trackday riding.
I found the pegs on the first trackday I did but have since managed to 'control' the lean to...
Sure.
Just curious - when you say advance the exhaust by 3 degrees if the standard is inlet 105 Deg ATDC/Exh 105 Deg BTDC will the exhaust move to 102 or 108?
So is the R6 trigger wheel no a direct fit then? I can't see any reason why it wouldn't fit? The part numbers are the same for the rest of the bottom end aren't they? (I'm not disagreeing with you I just can't see why it wouldn't).
I'm a bit out of date with what's been tried on the FZ6 scene...
My results are in this thread I started a while ago:
http://www.600riders.com/forum/fz6-performance-mods-section/51251-r6-cams-8.html
S1 with decat and old style scorpions, with a custom PC111 map for the scorpion cans making 95hp at the wheel with dyno print out on standard cams.
I then...
Did you have a custom map done for the R6 cams?
I've got R6 cams in my bike - and the 6-7k dip is really annoying. I'm trying to work out what I can do to get rid of it.
Hi there,
Old thread, but I haven't been on here in a while. I've actually just listed the speedo for sale on ebay.
Are you still after one (I know it's been a while).
Pictures are here:
I never tried it with the stock master cylinder. It may or may not work.
To get the cables to not be stretched and to not drag I flipped the throttle housing by 180 degrees as well, which is risky because the kill switch is then underneath. But it worked fine throughout the day for me.
Yes - I rotated them forward and also flipped 180 degrees so the orientation is correct.
Used a radial R6 master cylinder.
However, the handlebars foul on the tank and you cannot get full lock.
