Thanks for the thread, it was helpful studying before I installed mine today. Here it is with the Shad Topmaster and Givi E370 (39L) topcase.
I'm very pleased with it so far.
I installed my Shad top master rack and Give E370 (39L) top case today. I was very impressed with how sturdy the whole set-up is. Install was fairly easy, it just takes some patience aligning the bolts that mount to the grab handles. Here is a pic of the final set-up.
I have some motocentric...
That oil filter can be a pain to get off. I had to poke a hole with a screw driver and hammer it around in a circle to get it off. Never had a problem on cars. I may get the K&N filter next time just to have the nut on the back to make it easy.
Other than that the oil change is pretty...
I have everything needed for this just keep putting it off. I have a weeklong ride along the Amalfi coast in a few weeks and want to make sure it's good to go by then.
I wanted to paint the reflectors black as well and also afraid if I do that and have a problem with the wiring I'll be SOL...
I finally got around to doing this mod. Not sure why I waited so long, only took me an hour to go tapping into my existing turn signal lights. I have it set-up with Amber lights that function soley as my turn signals.
I have flush mounts all the way around which really aren't the greatest...
Sorry I should have followed up, went out of town, it was the battery.
I did try push starting it but like soupflakes said, cold weather=tire just skids. Tried 1st and 2nd gear, I've had better luck in 2nd with some other bikes.
Yeah thats what I figured it it. Don't know why they don't have a dead battery code instead of throwing an ECU code. Just made me worried a bit more. Now to hunt down a battery in Italy. Everything is closed on Sundays so will need to try and find time during the week.
I try not to dig up old threads but I got the same error on my 2006.
I haven't started it up all winter and 1st time I turned the key in the ignition I got that error. It also makes a clicking sound in the rear tail below the back of the seat.
I was able to jump start it with cables from...
You can get an inline fuse at walmart or any auto store most likely. 14 Guage and 10amp should be fine.
Used my charger for the first time last week, charged my iphone on the way to work.
I finally got around to putting on my 17t SuperSprox sprocket I got from Kneedraggers. Installed it in about 30 minutes yesterday and enjoyed a nice 180 mile ride to the mountains in Italy today. What a difference cruising on the autostrada (freeway). I'm no longer searching a 7th gear...
I ended up ordering a 17 tooth SuperSprox Stealth Front Sprocket from Kneedraggers, came out to $34 shipped to my APO address. Not to track down the washer I need replace with it. Knee Draggers only wanted like $3 for the washer but another $15 to ship it, not sure whats up with that. I hate...
