Same as above, chain has tight spot, all do, mine makes an oscillating kinda sound.

I have the evaporative type... Soak it and wear in under my riding suit with the vents open, helps.

That's my '04 it's mounted on and they in fact do have an '04-'06 box to click, 2 options... I was looking last night. Early and late but I've seen posts here saying its a matter of a few well places washers to fit all. In any case the part number is from the bottom of the seat.

It won't hurt to run every night if you're using a float charger ( tender)... Won't over charge. I tend to plug them in once a month until they go to green, usually only a couple hours or less

If its been ridden regularly just not alot of miles you're absolutely fine. You worry about seals drying out corrosion, rust and and and if it's just been sitting and not ridden every once in a while. Low mileage bikes are everywhere, garage beauties and they are nothing to be afraid of. Ride...
