I guess the solution is (as I have written in several threads before): lube lube lube.
Put some grease or other lubricant on all the joints on the gear lever linkage. Dont forget to remove the rubber covering one important point on the mechanism.

I always put it in neutral (if the stop will be longer than 5s). I believe holding the clutch will wear and tear on the clutch components (release bearing) in the long run. This applies to cars at least, I am not sure if the clutch works in the same way in the bike. But I think its better to be...
Sounds like all you need is some lubrication on the shift pedal linkage. Use some oil or grease and lubricate all joints connected to the shift pedal. I used to have the same problem with a shift pedal not returning to its initial position. Oil solved this problem. So I suggest you DO NOT adjust...
I hope you have tried to put some oil in the shift lever joints before adjusting the lever. I have experienced the same problems you are describing and oil helped solving these issues.
Good luck! //Henrik

I have never tried it but a friend of mine said that Autosol is very good for cleaning/polishing exhaust pipes. Don't know if the product exists in your countries but Autosol is the name in sweden anyhow.
Good luck! /Henrik

Okay, thank you all! Just a comment on riding in rain. I guess the electronics can get a little moist but wont be flooded with water when riding in rain. Using the hose at all possible angles on the other hand seems very likely to really make the electronics dripping wet. But I see your point...
Hello,
I would like some advice on washing the bike. Do you use a hose to spray it first as washing a car or just bucket and spunge? If hose, is the electronics water proofed so that I dont need to bother avoiding spraying certain areas? I got the advice from a dealer that I should wash it...
Hello, I bought a 2006 fz6s as a first motorcycle a couple of months ago and therefore new in this world of bikes. As I washed the bike I found a hole (about 5-7 mm in diameter) on the left side of the engine. It is situated on the cylinder wall. I wonder what this is used for? Nothing is fitted...
