Feel it's worth noting for future users that when I called to have my ignition replaced they were cool enough to tell me that there's no immobilizer on the 2008 FZ6. When I looked it up, the immobilizer is only standard on the European unit. It seems like no US model should have it(?). I had a...
Hey guys, long time no see but I've been up to no good at the track beating an old R6 into the ground. :D
I know this has been discussed but wasn't having any luck with the search. I lost my key and the backup (which I know I should never even have used) shortly after. No idea how, in fact...
Been spending a bit of time banging the FZ6 around the track lately and I'm finding myself scraping the pegs a lot. Haven't had luck searching here for higher/more aggressive rearsets, does anybody still sell any? Thanks all!
Hi all, trying to figure out how to remove my mirrors on the 08 FZ6. I pulled the rubber sheath down but it doesn't seem there's a way to remove them that way. Do I need to unbolt the fairing to get at it? Thanks.
So I bought a set if the eBay levers along with everyone and their mother last month. Got 'em today and they installed without much trouble but theres a ton of play in the levers, and I found that the screws holding the moving pieces together are super loose on both levers.
I have the hex...
Gorgeous. I just got those same levers in and will take a crack at installing them tonight. Where'd you get the rear cowl? Was it ridiculously expensive like they tend to be?
What a bunch of children we all are. I really wouldn't be able to control myself, I think. I would just get all of the top of the line liter bikes.
I would build my own race track before buying any of these. With any luck it could be a self-sustaining hobby, and I could invest the rest of the...
In the next couple of years I'd like to move up to a zx14. It's strong enough to handle my huge ass and a pillion and should still be a lot of fun in the twisties. It's obviously crazy powerful but it seems tame now compared to the superbikes that are pushing 200bhp these days. It's also ugly in...
Thanks all. I'm definitely having them give the whole bike a once-over to make sure nothing else on the front end was affected.
While I recall seeing that the bars can be bent with the tie-downs, I still have trouble understanding how one or two guys lifting it could have bent the bars. *shrug*
I park my bike inside a parking garage beneath my apartment complex. I had to cage it for a few days last week when my girlfriend noticed my bike had been moved and some bicycle racks had been installed along where my bike had been positioned. The bars were locked but I guess was that was no...
