I believe the tach signal is derived via the ECU data line to the CPU in the instrument cluster. I've never seen a schematic showing a pick off from and ignition coil on the FZ6. The Crankshaft Position Sensor (CPS) signal is the likely source for RPM calculation. If you did use the coil signal...
Those connectors are a specific size and design for H4 and H7 lamps. Funny thing is I once needed a bunch of those and I ended up ordering them from a source in the UK.
The fix that agf posted would probably be your best solution. Just match your bike color code to the position on the new plug...
That FJR 1300 has to be a fun bike!
Someone on here used to have the FJR1300.... Now let me see.......Who was it?.......... Oh wait a minute........ I think I've got it! @TownsendsFJR1300
Welcome to this great forum!
Green is not the ground. Black is ground. Black with the yellow tracer is the high beam. Green is the low beam.
Looking at the back of you plug, Left is ground or negative (black) Top center is low beam (Black w/green tracer) Right is high beam (black w/yellow...
You should also check the lean angle sensor. I've seen one broken off it's mount and it wasn't in it's vertical position which prevented the bike from starting and running.
Try to apply power to the fuel pump as I mentioned before and see if it'll start. Doing this will bypass the starter interrupt-cut-off relay assembly. If the bike starts the starter interrupt-cut-off relay assembly is likely damaged. If it is damaged, I looked up the relay assembly for the 04...
If the key was in the on position and the bike was in neutral, was the neutral light on? If the neutral safety light was on, you can run a jumper from the positive lead on the battery to the red with blue tracer wire at the fuel pump. Be careful when making a jumper and preferably fuse the...
Do you see a drop in pressure when you try to rev the engine? The output must sustain the pressure when the engine is using the fuel. If you see a big pressure drop the pump can not provide the volume of fuel needed. What is the history on the fuel pump?
If I remember correctly it was 36 psi or 2.48 bar. Keep in mind that as you rev the motor where more fuel needs to be delivered, you may see a drop in pressure if the volume of fuel can not be delivered. So at idle it may 2.48 bar but won't keep the proper pressure if there there is an issue...
