A friend recently dropped my bike from standstill. The bike now makes a ticking sound at idle and when decelerating with the clutch fully engaged.
What should I check?
Thanks.
My 05 FZ6 started making the "ticking noise" after it was dropped by a friend.
Does anyone know what are the things I should check to make that sound go away?
One large possom.
Only hit it's head with the front tire. Felt like a small bump.
Luckily I didn't run it over completely. I don't know what would happen if thats the case. Any body know?
Would have loved to meet and ride with you Troubl & Defy. Not a prob though next time just let me know!
Knoxville is beautiful, especially if you know the scenic roads.
Thanks for the reply!
Ride on
My confidence was building up steeply till I hit a large rodent today while cruising with a friend. No damage to the FZ6, only my belief that nothing will happen to me!
I will never take dim back roads at night for granted again. I hope others use this advice.
If you live in Knoxville, TN or passing by and want to meet up to cruise our beautiful city! Just msg me!
I know it's a long shot to meet someone here but what the hell!
If we weren't FZ6 fanatics we wouldn't be here on this forum!
Judging by this forum most FZ6 riders seem to naturally shift between 4000 and 5000rpm. I'm also one of them.
The bike is a lot smoother beyond the 6000rpm range.
It's happier ridden hard I guess.
Don't we love our FZ6s!
