Parts came in the mail yesterday, they are going on the bike today. But wouldn't you know it, my battery decided to crap out.
Very nice quality on the parts.
Thanks for the update KN, looking forward to getting my parts on the bike. Congratulations on the new career.
I have some friends who are talented hot rod and motorcycle fabricators, I'll ask them if they would be interested in taking on this project.

So my accident free 2009 FZ6 went down in the rain a couple of weeks ago when I hit uneven pavement in a construction zone.

Not a huge amount of damage to me or the bike thanks to the now 1/2"...
Thanks for the link, it looks like he took a fairing from an earlier bike and created the "mole" look. I don't think I will need that much texture. I have a good auto paint store nearby, I'll see what they suggest. I'll have to paint both moles and mirrors, a touch up is going to show...
My pristine 2009 went down the other night. I was riding home and got caught in a big rainstorm. I went through a construction zone where they funneled traffic into the left lane. As we exited, I moved back into the right lane. What I couldn't see was that the right lane had 3" of fresh...
i paid $3,900 for my 2009 with 2077 miles. It was mint and came with Fieldsheer soft bags, frame sliders, an air horn, a Haynes manual, taller touring windshield (plus the stock one) and a K&N oil filter. But why am I sitting here typing this? Time for a ride!
Cmantis, I'm guessing you are single. Only my single friends bring their bikes inside to work on them.
I installed a G2 throttle tamer and some soft grips, huge difference in low speed manageability. Clutch slave should be the icing on the cake.
Thanks REO, I don't want to hijack Long101's thread but your bike looks ready to go anywhere. I'm going to give the blue tape some thought. Nice saddle.
All these Chicago area Fazer riders, maybe we can do a run sometime.
Lots of new FZ6 riders here in Chicagoland. I picked my blue '09 with 2000 miles this week. I bought some reflective blue rim tape, I'm thinking it might be a good safety feature. What is everyone's opinion on rim tape? Tacky boy racer add on or something that helps the bike get seen by cage...
Hi KN, thanks for performing this great service to fix a problem the factory should have solved. I just ordered my parts from Partzilla and when they arrive will ship them to you and send you Paypal funds.
I'm hoping this fix along with a G2 throttle tamer and some soft grips will make my...
