congrats on the new bike. i always get a fuzzy (read nice) feeling when someone posts a new ride. and i wish you luck to settle in fast, altough you seem to have settled already!
i know its a great machine (all reviews i read rave about it) but the looks dont do it for me. i may grow to like...
what a great family! every one riding bikes! nice things those triumphs...if only i had a lot of money to splurge...i would have a lot of motorcyles!! i am at 4 currently, the fazer and 3 other 100cc, old 2 stroke bikes to commute (and tinker) with.
stanless steel polish will not do much to remove the brown stains, there is no harm in trying but i did not find it effective, it does make the headers slippery though!
nice work OP
if it is exactly the same as the one in pic its a 2008 model (with black moles around the headlights). the S1 versions had a larger fairing and different brakes and swingarm. S1 had the full power engine version as well as the restricted one.
the fazer name is used in europe to indicate its...
at least the corrosion is only on the engine covers. i would be mad seeing that corrosion. you would have to remove them and sand them down very well and take them to be powder coated.
the 2006 is just the same as a 2005 albeit a black frame and engine. on teh 2004-2005 make sure the tps sensor recall has been done (its free of charge at any yamaha dealer). the 06 did not suffer from the tps as it was updated.
performance upgrades throught the years there were none, the 07...

Well your mum sure looks younger than 61. Keep it up Mum Recluse:D Kudos to her for the fairly bold decision she took and 'going against the current'.enjoy life and riding
as far as swingarms from other bikes that fit the fz6 i dont know of any that are a straight swap. the 07 -09 fz6 one is a straight swap, but you have to change the wheel axle to the 07 -09 one as the 04-06 one somehow does not fit properly (i ve tried it that s how i know). make sure you have...
no needto leave. this forum is pic hungry so at the first instance post lots of pics of your ride and riding impressions too as has already been suggested.
this forum reminds me of the motto used by honda
you meet the nicest people on a honda...
you meet the nicest people on fz6 forum:D
this is a nice thread...
i like those small honda s too. you dont find a lot locally either, all the guys that are into resto go for the full fledged 750, which although a nice bike has become a too common site on our roads. i prefer to own an H1 kawi (if i had the money!)
i have a couple...
