What material sounds better for aftermarket exhaust?

Personally, I hate the look of a single can under the tail. If you do a single, make it side-out. That would be awesome.

    Naked Conversion Questions

I have my turn signals mounted on the head light brackets, and I really like how it looks that way. Even if the brackets you buy don't have holes already, a quick job with the drill fixes that.

    FZ6 "El Cheapo" exhaust

Do you wear ear plugs when you ride? I thought my two brothers exhaust was loud, but holy crap. You'd be deaf after one ride on that!

Thanks for the update and the video!

    GoPro

This was my big plan as well. I've wanted one for a while, but just couldn't justify spending the money.

    Budget fighter

Looks awesome! I'd love to see more pictures once you get around to it! I recently did my naked conversion, but I took a slightly different route (a lot less cutting) and I went with a dual headlight look. If you could get an exhaust video, I'm sure I'm not the only one on here who wants to hear...

Should i buy full fairing or just stick to belly pan?

Just to be clear, the S1 doesn't have a full fairing either. The S1 and S2 look almost identical. In terms of styling, the S2 has different front brake rotors, a slightly different front fairing (the half-fairing nose), and any silver frame/suspension parts were changed to black. S1: S2:

    Motodynamics Integrated tail light question

The hazards still work since my rear blinkers are directly connected to the harness with all stock connectors. If you want to have both the integrated turn signals and the stock turn signals, you'll need to wire the left and right turn signal wires to both. I've not looked up the typical load...

    Motodynamics Integrated tail light question

I installed the integrated tail light this past winter and I actually left the led turn signals disconnected. I like the smaller, separate turn signals better, and I think they are more visible to all the idiots on the road around us. If you like the stock ones better, just don't plug in the led...

    TB Sync - A Nightmare

Make sure the bike is warmed up before you turn it off and attach the sync hoses. The idle will be higher on the cold engine, and as a result the sync will be just a bit different. That said, what fluid did you use? I ended up using conventional 30w oil and with the heavier weight it takes a...

Keep us informed. I'd love to see the final map!

    R6 Cams

That flat spot looks like it could be at the very least decreased in magnitude. The fuel map was super rich right in that range and I'd bet money it would be much linear from 6-7k if you leaned it out just a tad. Thanks for posting the results! Crazy to think there might just be a...

    misterious lowside in fz6

Definitely could have been worse, but also could have been avoided, in my opinion. It looks like you were braking very late into the turns, which is fine, as long as you trail brake properly. This off looks a lot to me like you were braking a little too late into the turn and as a result, there...

Help needed: Fuel Pump connectors & terminals replacements

The easiest way, in my mind, would be to simply buy a used harness. It should be around $20 or so if you get it on eBay.

    Today I Learned...

The reason I think people seem to be overlooking the six gears is that you only use 5 movements to get from first to sixth. Didn't count the movements, instead count gears. Then you'll see that you've had six all along. Think about it this way, if you've got one long box and you want to divide...

    When to Downshift into 1st

In general, I only shift into 1st if I'm certain I'm going to stop. If you're lugging around a parking lot, stay in first, and lightly press on the rear brake. It should help even out the low throttle and low rpm surging that tends to happen.

    Oil filters that will fit

If you can find a data sheet on each of them, just check the o-ring size (for proper mating surfaces) and check the thread size and pitch to make sure they will actually match in terms of the threads. Other than that, you should be good to go.
