Well the number of cats depends on the model year. 2004-06 only have a single cat in the mid-pipe. The newer models (2007-onward) have cats in the header in addition to the mid-pipe. If you've got an S1, you'll either need a welder who can weld stainless, or you can break the honey comb cat out...

Check with Skooter65 for the kill switch. He often parts out FZ6 bikes and can usually get just what you need. Otherwise, you could check eBay for a used one. There is always the brand-new route if you can find it from a parts supplier, but it'll be more expensive.

Hell yeah, man! That's a great find, a great job getting it running and I love the naked conversion. I did mine this past winter and it's exactly what I wanted.

Wasn't me. I bought my bike last riding season and did the conversion over this past winter. I'm crazy excited to get more saddle time in this year.
