I've changed the clutch cable both ways. Yes one is more work, but actually easier removing the air box, etc... I use just a very, very light coat of di-electric grease on the edge of the TB and air box boot, Won't degrade the rubber boots what so ever.. .

As you have a brake caliper mounting bolt right there, I'd make up a 90 degree bracket out of aluminum. Bend it as need be to mount to that bolt AND to the light itself. That is, if you have enough thread for the brake caliper bracket for full engagement. You may have to replace THAT factory...

I'd record on both sides of the engine, Kinda ticky sounding but ticky is normal with stock exhausts. Do you re-call how far out the cam chain tensioner was when installed? I know the cam / crank marks were not dead nuts (some stretch to the chain). .

A new tensioner will not change where the marks line up on the cams and crank. If the chain is stretched, marks will be off, period.. A new tensioner will help with a sloppy/ loose worn chain but the marks will STILL be off(chain is still longer than it should be). .
