Wasn't saying they were old stock but simply an older design that is still in production. Non the less it's still a great tire and it will grip any road you throw at it.

Lord that's expensive in American dollars. I'll never pay over $200/set here in the states. If I remember right Bone the rosso is an older model tire(still a good one) might be why they were $200 off. Good luck with them I liked them when I tried them.

Back tire feels like it's sliding

I agree that cold tires do not stick but Im not a believer in that "mold release" theory. We run brand new tires (street and race compounds) at the track and never have a problem. I've heard people say it can take up to 100+ miles to "scrub" in tires. I ran Dunlop street tires brand new and...

Its that the Q2 Or the Qualifier II? They are two completely different tires, if it's the Q2 it's an awesome tire.

    Good tire deal! (Bridgestone BT016)

Me? No. You'll have to go on European and Australian pages to even find it. Basically imagine a NTec race tire carcass with a street compound and that's a SportSmart. They offer the same if not better grip than the American Q2 and last a hell of a lot longer. Not trying to nut swing on Dunlop...

    Mobil 1 10W-40

Also if you really want to run a 10-30 Amsoil carries a motorcycle specific 10w-30 motorcycle oil

Recommended? Yes. Will you be fine? Yes. I'm running a PP2 Front and a bridgestone 003 rear right now. They have different characrisitcs and I just remember that. On the street you'd be fine. As far as liability if something did happen IDK. But I even know guys that run different brand Race...

Look into the Dunlop Sportsmart which is my first choice if your in Australia Or even the Dunlop Q2 (not Qualifier II, Just Q2) which you may or may not have there and thats my second choice. And yes thats alot for one front mounted and balanced.

    Mobil 1 10W-40

Aside from the fact that I sell Amsoil I would recommend it because of my personal experience with how other oils perform compared to it. However if you don't want to use Amsoil than Mobil 1 would be a my next choice. Good oil at a decent price and can be found most anywhere. If you do use...

    Good tire deal! (Bridgestone BT016)

For those people in other parts of the world I would recommend trying the Dunlop SportSmart. They are the best all around tires I have ever used. I put a pair on my track bike to try them out and they had more grip than the Bridgestone 016 and 003RS, the Michelin PP2s. I went an entire day on...

    Good tire deal! (Bridgestone BT016)

I will never run another set of OEM 016s the after market 016s are OKish and they have a new 016 hyperpro that has alot better wet handling. I have run the Bridgestone 003RS on the street and the track and like them, whole lot better than the 016. They are sticker and actually wear better than...

Magnetic Drain Plug and Oil Filter Magnet Review

I run magnets in everything I own. both the drain plugs and magnets that attach to the filter. I believe they are called Filter Dots if I remember correctly. Never had a problem with them holding on to the bike filters at speed either.

    Possible clutch problem???

Having had it since new and it has always done it makes it weird. I would attribute it to bad oil, cables out of adjustment, or something else. But If it's always done it you can rule out the oil as it would have come with motorcycle oil in it. The cables would be my main concern, the porter...

    Oil in the track bike

It's me but I figured I'd share my experiences with it in one of my motorcycles as compared to the all the other oils I've tried. It usually wouldn't garner any special attention except for the fact that it cured a "problem" that is notorious in these bikes and the only other way its been solved...

Another gas thread....i know i know but read

A higher octane than required would cause no less deposits than regular grade. Octane doesn't measure ability. Octane is a measure of resistance to ignition and nothing else, the higher the number the higher the resistance. So a 87 AKI (The octane rating used in the US which is RON+MON/2) has...

    Possible clutch problem???

Check to make sure its adjusted properly and no cables are binding. Did you do anything recently like oil change, chain adjustment, new tires? Did it just happen all of a sudden of did it start awhile ago and just kept getting worse?

    Oil in the track bike

My track bike is a 2003 GSXR 600 and I have done countless oil changes after many trackdays and have never had good results with the oil. The main concern in this generation of Suzuki is that they are notorious for false neutrals allover the place and on a track when engine braking is a big deal...
