    Here's the kit I have.

bike broke down this morning but now its fine!?

I'll start by saying I'm not a fan of the battery tender... I've never used one, never seen the need. My battery is OEM from 2009, Still holds its charge and tests out well! My guess is that your battery tender has been masking the real issue of a bad battery and/or a weak charging system. As...

    Fender Eliminator

I'll snap a pic of it when I get home. Think I have a couple turnsignals with plug adapters to go with it if anyone wants it. Nope, never been on the yzf600r forum Other than this I'm on the FZ6R forum and Suzuki GS500 forum, but thats about it.

    Fender Eliminator

I'd buy one that has the plate that covers all the way up where the OE fender bolts to. Infact I have one sitting at home that I should just sell since I run the stock fender now-days.

    Michellin Pilot Power 3's

I think its really coming down to the fact that theres so many choices of tires that we're able to buy a tire that really suits our needs. I think it great that I can go out and purchase some Pilot Power 3's and have a great sporty feeling bike, or I can go out and buy some Pilot roads that get...

    Michellin Pilot Power 3's

Iven been running a set of Pilot road 3's for the last 8,000 or so miles. Yes, theyre GREAT in the rain and great for the 95% of tour riding that I do. They're also wearing great and not flat spotting, even though most of my miles are in a straight line.. HOWEVER.. They feel like a squishy...

    Shaky front end (no hands)

I ditched the stock Bridge's probably at 4500, mi. I could see them cupping before 3,000 mi and by 4500mi they looked about like a dirt bike tire. Since ive run a couple sets of Dunlop Q2's and am on a set of PR3's at the moment, Which ive been mostly happy with. My next set will be some good...

    Shaky front end (no hands)

You follow directions well, Sir! I had the same issue on my '86 FZ600, a new front tire took care of that issue. If you have 6000 miles on the stock bridgestones the FZ6 came with, they're beyond trashed.

New bike on the way for me, Honda CB1000R

Lol, mayyyybeee... Ive never been on a crossplane r1, would love to take one for a ride sometime though. I feel like we might get a little spoiled on our Fz6's. They really are an exceptionally smooth running bike. We just sold my fiancee's Suzuki GS500F and replaced it for an fz6r...

New bike on the way for me, Honda CB1000R

Definitely a cool bike! White is super sexy.. I too have lusted over a z1000.. My friends mom owns one, and I got to ride it the other weekend.. Without going into too much detail, I'll take my fz6 back any and every time! The power is great, but it vibrates worse than an old twin! had...

storage of motorcycle and liability to structure

I can see that. Modern building codes require a "fire resistant" wall between vehicle storage areas and living space. Now, some older places are probably grandfathered in and dont follow that code. But I can see how that would have the right to cancel your policy over it. I work with insurance...

    0W-40 ok??

Call me nuts, and maybe I'm just throwing my money away. But my bike receives Yamalube Semisyn, I think its 10w-50 (whatever yamaha reccomends for the fz6 in the semi syn) Also my SXR snomobile, sees nothing but Yamalube 2S, (its running up on 15,000 mi, all original top end, pretty good for...

What's the deal with the temperature gauge?

Hahah, Read the owners Manual... I believe Yamaha doesnt state concern untill temps reach 220 or 240F... They're built to be hot running motors. My car would would be blowing gaskets at that point!

Exhaust Pricing Different Between Left & Right?

My Akrapovics dont look quite like that style, But I belive the left has the Y pipe welded to it.. hence the added cost.

Quick Question about accessing the battery

Yepp, at idle they pretty much draw off the battery. Not enough rpm to create a charge.. I hear ya about drooling.. I was just at my local dealer, they had a 2' X 3' poster for me to take home. Blah

Quick Question about accessing the battery

If I'd have a dollar for everytime Ive heard this... (Id be riding a new FJ-09Blah) It doesnt do your bike any good to be started and run in the garage during the winter. Doing so only drains the battery and introduces moisture into the oil that doesnt get burned out. Its Entirely pointless...

How to check if there is a cracked clutch?

My question/thought: Would you be able to find a cracked clutch plate before it granades? Or do you think that the plate cracks and granades all in the same moment?

    Improving Motorcycle Safety

Survey Complete! Good luck with Grad School man!! Just to add a little something to the Convo... My fiancee and I just picked up a set of Sena Comms. (Ive been riding about 4 years now and put about 12k miles/year. My fiancee has been piloting her own bike for 1 summer now) I certainly feel...

    March 2015 BOTM - winner - The_Paragon

I did see that shirt! I didnt end up buying it though... probably should have! For the last 2 years in a row we've ridden from WI to Colorado. I LOVE going out there. It certainly is epic riding to say the least.
