    Hot start issues

When it was happening to me, it was my fuel pump. The whole assembly was replaced with a new OEM. Wasn't cheap, but it worked and has been working since.

Need Help Seem to can’t adjust the right side of the swingarm to adjust slack

In many cases, the opposite side will need to be brought in as the one side is pushed out to create balance. If doing this leaves your chain too loose, then the chain may need replaced. There are gauges to see if the chain is stretched to the point of needing replacement. Also compare both...

    Fraudulent prepaid credit cards

I purchased a Secure Spend prepaid credit card and put a $200 balance on it last night so that I can order some parts and tools to change my oil rings. I called one of the shops to place an order. I had a few other older cards with balances on them and did a split payment between them all to...

    Melted plastic on header fix!

Got to wonder how it got there.

    FZ6 lowering kit

If I am looking at this correctly, you are saying this is your original length shock link, and it is also about 5 centimeters from the top of the bushing hole? That is about the same as the shortened on shown in the other pic. I am now confused.

    FZ6 lowering kit

If only! I re-did head gaskets on one of my 4 wheeled rides last year. It stopped leaking oil, after I addressed a pitted cam shaft that I didn't see until afterward, but was burning like crazy. I had already did every seal but had to redo valve stem seals again because I knocked an idle air...

    Engine gets super hot

Another thing I don't see mentioned so it's worth mentioning, is have you checked / changed your oil recently?

    FZ6 lowering kit

I am not trying to lower mine though. I was just looking for reference to compare to the one you showed. Up until last year or so, I couldn't get an answer if that part was removable when I was replacing my bottom out bumper. I may go in there this year when the weather gets cool and I have some...

    FZ6 lowering kit

I went to attempt to take that measurement, but I don't have a line of site on it being covered between the frame, the spring plate and the tire hugger. Next time I go to take any of that apart I'll try to remember, but that could and hopefully be a long time from now.

    Engine gets super hot

Nothing at all that I am aware of. Op was also mentioning a loss of power at low rpms though, and it may help with that.

    Engine gets super hot

Got an air compressor? Blow the air filter clean. Should be some improvement. No air compressor? Either get one or get another filter. Is your fan turning on? Coolant clean/ How much air flow do you have around you? Tight crowded slow traffic? I feel some heat in that as well. Cruising and open...

    FZ6 lowering kit

Like Gary said, Excellent. I don't have mine apart to take and post pics myself, but I can anyone can now get a measurement on theirs to compare. I will check mine out of curiosity in the next couple of days. it looks like about an even 5mm to the top of the bushing hole on yours.

    FZ6 lowering kit

Do you have a measurement in length on that? I had my rear shock pulled apart a couple of years ago to replace the bottom out bumper. That is the part the bottom end connects to the swingarm with. It appears to be the same length from here.

    Question Fork feelings

I got to taking the fork tubes off and checking the oil level while held in a vice with a magnetic level attached for vertical and was right on the mark anyway.

    Frame Bolt thread

I'm not exactly sure what part I am looking at, but if it is supposed to be threaded for a bolt, it can be re-threaded. If you are not comfortable with doing it find someone who is and advisably already has the equipment. Any mechanic, cycle or other automotive along with machine shop should be...

    Takes a while to start.

Yes, there are plenty of other's experiences. Good to point that out. I was personally replying that I can't say because my experience on this was as I stated, and as you stated on the differences between various aftermarkets, even between themselves, and OEM. I just went with OEM.which cost...

    Just gotta know...

I was just looking through a Yahoo webpage of 22 reason's not to wear a helmet. Turns out to be sarcasm mostly, but the last pic was this: and I just gotta know, who is it? Anybody recognize the bike?😆 I also gotta say, this rider makes me feel better about the inevitable beetle that hits me in...

Need some support and knowledge after an accident.

I don't know that anyone here can give you true advice and knowledge on this. Is anyone here actually a mechanic? Suggestions and based on experience advice is plentiful I'm sure. My own for instance: Maybe loosen the bolts that hold the two halves and try to straighten out. I don't have any...

    FZ6 lowering kit

Look up lowering links. The rear of most bikes is usually lowered by an attachment that is usually shaped like a dog bone. I did a quick search and it looks like something is available, but not the shape I'm used to seeing. I believe the front is basically just done by letting the fork tubes...

    Question Fork feelings

I don't know what to call it. Going at 30mph or slower, it kind of felt like a boat on water, excessive rocking side to side for a land vehicle, so I dubbed it swimming.
