    OGIO Soft Saddle Bags SOLD

What are the approximate dimensions / volume of each bag? I have been thinking of getting a set for some time, but nobody at any shop I spoke with had answers for how any saddle bag would fit an FZ. It seems we have all the answers here except if they will suit me.

    Hot start issues

I was going to ask, Do you see this splashing in the tank and hear the pump running when it is not starting while warmed up? There, I asked it.

    Help choosing right tires

I've been using Michelin Pilot 2CT for the past 2, about to be 3 sets. Where I have mostly been is a lot of straight an level riding. They do well in cold and rain. I haven't got caught in any snow in them since it doesn't snow anymore around here. I did have battleaxe's before. I would say they...

2007 FZ6 display issues (incorrect speed and rpm)

If the tach sensors are sending bad information to the computer, then the calculations of speed would be off despite the transmission sensor, yes? I think I saw threads on here about something called the speedo healer, some aftermarket device plugged in somewhere. I think it's intent is when...

2007 FZ6 display issues (incorrect speed and rpm)

Is this additional speedometer tapped into the speed sensor on / in the transmission? First thing I'm thinking is that is going. Second thing I'm thinking is if someone changed the gearing if that is possible, or something along those lines. I don't know if the engine or gears can be swapped...

Need Help Yamaha fz6 2005 cluster display

Information on how you got the housing apart without damaging and resealing? I have had a turn signal indicator go out on mine and have thought about opening up to see if there's anything I can do for it, but it seems that it is either heat sealed or cemented together. There are no screws to...

    Snapped Exhaust Stud....now what?

I was going to mention machine shop too, but thought they would not want the whole bike, just the heads. Anyone have an experience with such things?

    Snapped Exhaust Stud....now what?

I certainly wouldn't use an easy out if at all possible. These studs are usually steel, and they are in an aluminum head. Are you turning these the correct way? (leave no stone unturned) Using an impact driver? Jerking on these nuts? (not meant to sound the way it does) If you proceed to go any...

    Hot start issues

Fuel pump is probably going. I know it sounds irrelevant, but these are the symptoms I had when mine went. Start fine when cold. Run all day. Shut down when at temperature, and try to start again 5 minutes later after a run into a store or fuel fill, and would be stuck waiting for it to cool...

    Snapped Exhaust Stud....now what?

Usually exhaust studs are removable and replaceable on any engine in any vehicle. I would avoid using a tap out on these aluminum heads so long as I could. Heavy 24 hour soaking of PB Blast, even though in theory everything is aluminum and shouldn't have rusted, studs probably are not,,vice...

Any Advice/Guidance on selling bike that needs work?

At the price you are asking for what is included, if you have the title, it should sell itself in minutes. Someone with the know how or money to pay a shop would jump on it if it otherwise already runs.

Question FZ-6 rattles in city driving?

Other than it sounds like the idle is maybe a little high, it sounds about right, but then we are hearing what your mic pics up and our speakers let out, not what you hear.

Round Headlight - DRL & Indicator issue!

"I feel like I've been posting like crazy since I got my bike" It's why we spend time here! To seek and to give help. If you are certain that you have the indicators (which should have 2 wires each) ground, high beam and low beam / DRL wires (same wire) connected properly, and it is an LED...

Help me understand wind blast (>110 kph)

Yes, the mirror conundrum. For one, don't worry about who wants to pass. They will if they can and want to. Your bigger need for mirrors is to check before you change lanes and to keep a tally of whats around you in case you need to, especially fast. Mirrors on a naked never seem to be in an...

    Speedometer Mount Needed!

I'm going to have to dig into that link more. When I got mine, I have what appears to be a standard FZ1 mounting bracket, rigged up to fit. There was some form of sheet metal fabricated to be attached to the bracket to hold the instrument cluster. There was no vibration elimination so after a...

Help me understand wind blast (>110 kph)

It's not so much the bike as it is the windscreens and helmets in use that cause these effects. It's really a game of trial and error between the combination of screen, helmet and rider. Your height and riding stance have something to do with the equation as well. I have a simple fly screen as...

Do Engine Guards Protect Tank and Fairings?

If your bike goes down, damage will be done. There isn't much any slider or guard can do to stop it. Tanks and upper fairings usually get some and sometimes the lower covers (stator and clutch) as well as handle bars, mirrors, and hand levers (Three things I would recommend people to keep an...
