Mongol, riding skill has no impact on the fact that the FZ6 does not perform at par with other bikes in this respect. I don't think anyone denies the importance of throttle control or the fact that a skilled rider can ride around a bikes imperfections, suspension, brakes, fueling, or otherwise.

Get stranded should not be a concern. You can always push start the bike, dead battery or not. I've push started an FZ that didn't even have enough juice to power the clock on the instrument cluster, let alone the fuel pump or gauges.

You heard wrong. I bought a Tuono but I'm very much in the market for another dirt oriented dual sport. Going to go look at a TE450 next week.

^^^ +1 Other than confirming your fan came on, I wouldn't do anything other than keep an eye on it. You generally shouldn't let your bike sit there for any longer than it needs to get up near operating temp....not "good" for anything.

Oh geeze, that sucks. SOunded like a dealership. The only places I can recommend are Scuderia West (a KTM/Aprilia dealer in SF) and MotoTireGuy (for changing tires...$22 a pop, by appointment, and it's a 10 minute process).

That Sux. unfortunately this is par for the course when leaving your bike at a dealership. Find a private mechanic with a good rep or use moto tire guy going forward.
