    Show me your chicken strips

Ah, okay that makes it a bit clearer, at £300/set I can't afford to be using a set every 4 1/2 months/ 6.5k miles! Will check sag, see how this set start wearing and report back. Thanks all

    Show me your chicken strips

I'm glad I now know that you know that I know this :) PR3's going on as we speak. What I couldn't make out from Finalimpact's link (thanks Chancecoats, I'd missed it), is whether I need to have the back softer or harder. I have it set on 5 now, 4 when the tyre was new, anything lower feels...

    Show me your chicken strips

Well, as this thread was always going to be a willy measuring contest, here's my tinky winky: In my defense, I've only been riding since march

Illinois considers new M/C license requirements

As you say, how can you even discuss staggered licences when helmets are not mandatory?? And how on earth can it be right that you attend one day's class, and can then go out and ride ANY bike you like?? I agree that judging purely on engine size is silly, and the whole "noobs and little...

    Dual Sport Helmet

FWIW, my schoei (qwest) is completely rainproof, even in the worst sustained rain, strangely enough even with the top vent open. Not even slightly dual sport, but all day comfy and with pinlock standard.

EU motorbike rules, per country PLEASE HELP.

My favourite british one is that on unmarked junctions NOBODY has right of way  They are rare, and mostly occur on country lanes, so nothing to worry about (except tractors, mud, walkers, gravel, muck, stone walls, livestock, hawthorn hedges, cyclists, potholes, tourists, horse****...

    Battery issues AGAIN!

So it doesn't fall over on the sidestand, right?

    2-wheeled obsession

Can I just thank you all for making me feel sooooo much better about my collection, 2-wheelers are new to me, so just one pushbike (unused), one motorised (much used) - but I do have 4 cars (of which 2 work), a CASE digger (in need of TLC) and a mini digger - can I be a junior member? I PROMISE...

Stock seat. Does it hurt you too?

Ditto, except I tend to stop after an hour of twisties just to give my head a chance to catch up. Discomfort on long motorway journeys I blame on my scrawny backside, not the saddle. The right undercrackers helps, rowing shorts being my favourite. The wrist problem I solved by taking a scaffold...

Is this how kids ride pillion in NJ?

Especially when they are mint flavoured?

    Frame sliders?

Well, I dropped my bike yesterday (on a slope, in neutral, on sidestand - it rolled forward), (short) crash bung took the bulk of it, slight scratch on the crank case, slight scratch on the mirror - I recommend them!

    S1 & S1 weight and handling difference

Mine was like this on an old front tyre - it had worn left and right of the central ridge, leaving it triangular, meaning it fell into corners instead of rolling into them. Maybe the squared off rear means you have to push too hard to initiate lean, which puts you off balance when you do get...

How do you KNOW you've had a good day?

If you are not sure whether you had a good day, here's a little checklist... 1) Are you exhausted? Check 2) Do you have a beer? Actually it seems to have evaporated, but I know where it's friends live :) 3) Have you just got through 1 1/2 tanks of fuel covering 210 miles you didn't need...

Look where my FZ6 went today....

The sky was so cool today, had to stop for a few pics - phone quality only, and I'm no photographer, but you get the idea
