I'm with him ^^^, plugged (mushroom) my rear pr3 at 500 miles, coming up for 6000 hard miles without issue. The shop that did it only specified that none of the thresds in the carcass could be damaged

What's with all the all-digital instruments?

Have to say I prefer analogue as you can get a rough idea from a glance. The revs is not so bad (S1), you get used to it in a "bit low, bit high" kind of way, but digital speed readout is hopeless, you have to actually read it every time, rather than a quick glance to confirm where the needle...

Ignition - Steering Lock Giving Me Trouble

Mine was like this for a while, it lives outside which can't help. Really embarrassing when you look as if you're trying to nick the bike in public. I flushed it out with gt85, wiggle, gt85, wiggle, etc, etc then engine oil, wiggle etc, then keep cleaning oil off the key until it comes out...

Bike on bike... Need ideas/ suggestions

I can see what you've done there, not entirely what I meant...I wonder if this is a piece of slang you don't have over the pond? bike Noun. A promiscuous woman, often with respect to the immediate district or locality. Derog. Cf. 'town bike'.

    Fuel tank dent - Repairable?

You can't just fill it, the corners will be proud. So that means taking a hammer to it and/ or pulling it. I'm guessing that if you had the tools/experience to do that you would have already tried. Then you've still got filling /priming/painting /lacquering to do and new decals to find. If it...

Hands still get numb even with looser grip

There's your answer right there. You're almost certainly still thinking about it all too much. Even if you are able to take the very good advice to relax your grip, you are now probably tensing everything else trying to do so. I know, cause I did exactly this. Forget about the whole thing, do...

Hands still get numb even with looser grip

I had the same problem, tried fz1 bars, didn't like the tank clearance. Took a scaffold pole to the original bars to reduce sweep - lovely :) I also shaved the heated grips to remove a ridge that was biting into my palms

    New Rider/ Gear Advice

I know it doesn't fit into the "shop around on the internet to find the cheapest deal" ethos, but (imo) you really need to try stuff on. All brands fit differently, and all of us are different shapes and sizes, making online shopping really hard for a noob. I was in this boat 18 months ago...

    Spotted! at Crickhowell Bridge

Pulled up at the traffic lights next to a silver FZ6 loaded up with panniers - brief garbled conversation about being on here and the lights changed... anyone?
