Might be worth having a look at the relay in the rear pod, check if there's power to it and it's doing it's job. The flash facility could easily be wired sepseparately.

I've wondered about this swap, the drain holes are tiny and block. I settled for enlarging the drainage gaps and gacking heavy duty grease on all parts during assembly.

I think the app is doing apples/pears by giving you speed over ground (using gps), while the plane's situation is based on it's speed relative to the air around it. The plane can go 588mph or mach 0.82 faster than the air it is flying through, regardless of how fast that air is moving relative...

Interesting - here and elsewhere max speed is given as 588mph, max mach as 0.82. Cruising speed 511mph. Assuming max mach is about air speed rather than speed over ground then a tailwind of just 68mph would get you to 656mph over ground at full throttle while staying within maximum mach...

That's not what I said, the van driver was quite correct to leave the junction free, the rider should have anticipated that he did so for a reason.

In fairness to the OP, he doesn't suggest it was the cager's fault. Sure, wondering why the van was stopping to leave the junction free would have given the chance to act rather than react, but nice save nonetheless - always good to learn something without getting hurt :)

I couldn't agree more with the above. I have a bt headset - texts are just about liveable with, though by their nature not urgent enough to warrant the distraction, calls are lethal. If they are important enough to answer they are too distracting.

I can't see how that'll work, I wonder if there are pictures of it fitted. I have oxford grips, they were on the bike when I got it, and I think the newer ones all have push buttons. Here's a pic (not my bike) of the one I have - push on/off, turn for output. I've never had them up to full heat.

My observations on heated grips: - I couldn't ride through the winter without them! - the controller has to be useable with (your) thick gloves on, might be better to try in a shop rather than buying online - the controller must be placed within easy reach of your left hand, so you can adjust...

Avoiding squishing your unmentionables is a great motivation in learning to brake smoothly - there is a linear correlation between how hard you squeeze and how hard you get squeezed :s
