Just a bit of clarification, the Deltran batteries are lithium iron phosphate. I imagine they are different than lithium ion, but couldn't tell you what the differences are. Anyway, hope the new battery solves your issue.

My cousin called it a crotch rocket, and while it can feel like a rocket under my crotch, it is not that. I tell people it's a sporty looking type bike, but not a crotch rocket as they usually don't know what the FZ6 is.

I'm at $75/year for liability only with Progressive. Theft isn't an issue where I am and if it gets wrecked/broken/damaged, the money I saved on insurance over the years will pay for whatever needs fixing.

Yup, I have two torque wrenches for working on the bike/car. 3/8" and 1/2" drive ones. They cover everything I need to do. This is the 3/8" one I have Also, the service manual has both SAE and metric torque specs. Well, mine does at least.

Just searching CL and found a handful around MN/IA that seem decent, but they are around $4k. Not sure what your budget is but that price is about on par. I'm sure you could negotiate lower on some of them, but really, just be patient if you are looking for a good deal. I spent a month or two...

This is exactly what I do. Buy kerosene in bulk, dump in a spray bottle, and you are set for quite a while.

I lube once a year. Been using the ez glider cable lube and it works great. Just part of the regular maintenance you should be doing.

^^^I looked in to doing exactly that to my bike over the winter, but I havent had enough time to do it. If either of you two want to build a few, I'm sure quite a few on here would buy ;)

Exact same experience with mine. I left my battery in this winter and started mine up a month ago after many days below zero and she turned over a little slower, but fired up no problem. I've had mine packed away since October.
