Lots of guys getting rid of their track equipment right now....I'm on the VRRA (vintage) forum and there have been complete packages for sale (bikes etc) as well as used single items.....tire warmers etc. Hopefully you have a track closer to you than I do to me. Any chance you could "share"...

Really only tricky part is getting the bar ends off....the inner part of end looks like it's a torx.....but you don't use that end.....use the larger hex opening...I believe it's an 8mm allen key. Once again, the previous posts on here help clarify that.

Well the washers and bolts dont look stock on your tank for whatever thats worth. However if the bolts pass through? Townsend also made a reference to the casting process.....the manufacturers aren't all that concerned about the excess portions on the outer edges....tolerances are...

Right along the seam.....brutal. They should step up stand behind the product. I would honestly call them back and "explain" to them what your expectations were of buying American.....and how disappointed you are....followed by your involvement in this forum. Not trying to dis a company but...

do what I plan on doing.....keep the FZ6 ......and buy a cheap track bike to beat the hell out of those days you actually get to the track. Track bikes are cheap....especially now.

Brings back memories of a post on here about loosening them in order to remove the steering head races/bearings........some bolts I would just never touch.

The halves bolt together so as long as there are still bolts there and there is no gap horizontally I'm not sure if there would be any issue.....?
